Wasps pull out... (1 Viewer)

I think it's got to the point where we all sat this coming, but didn't want to admit it to ourselves. We clung onto that hope, just to be kicked in the gutter all over again.

This was clearly all staged to prevent pitch invasions, kick offs and damage to the ground at the last home game.

I'd rather just forget about this fiasco now and move on, everyone involved is to blame at some point during the whole mess and it's beyond repair now. They need to hurry up and announce/organise where we'll be playing next season now so we can all ignore the corporate, money grabbing dicks and their selfish games and focus on what really matters to us as fans - football and our club.

I can't help but sympathise deeply with all staff - playing, coaching and backroom - throughout this. My son will be gutted.

All while CCC and Wasps have been giving each other wrap around handjobs while shafting everything CCFC stands for, while SISU self-gratify over the whole thing.

Onwards and upwards

It amazes me how supine the fighters on the JHW, Trust et al are.

What other football club fans would even begin to empathise with the positions Wasps take after what's happened? It is mental.

As I've said many times. Can you imagine fans of Newcastle, Leeds or any other club being like this and siding against their own football club. It really is bizarre.

Interesting that it is now reported a two year deal was agreed as well.

Seems wasps changed their mind.
Hi Nick
Where was that reported?

On the face if it, seems to me SISU played a dumb hand cause they knew the courts wouldn't go their way; Insects and Council get wind, and one of those sucker Gilbert into doing their dirty work. Nobody gets a free pass here. C*nts. All of them.

Right, very emotional and we're all pissed off. Lots of anger being throw around, but lets take a step back. What's done is done....how can this be turned into a positve for the club, because people are describing this EU thing has to run its cause one triggered. That could be years of going round in circles, we have to avoid that, we won't survive that long with a ground share surely?

Can SISU do anything to remedy this? ("....unless its owner protects the rugby club from any potential damages resulting from a complaint to the European Commission). Sounds like wasps believe their is an answer and SISU hold some magic key...is it a bluff for negotiating power and make themselves the good guys; or are they genuinely surprised at what's happened and want to protect themselves before continuing with a deal?

I'm going to hope against hope that SISU fucked up in Feb but trying to negotiate recently means they might bend the knee somehow, otherwise they risk losing the manager, the fan base, the patience of the community, and ultimately any chance of clawing their investment back.

May not go to games anymore, but for me there is only one CCFC and if that dies, then there is no way I would be interested in any side show of a football team created to boost some peoples egos and back slap each other on the way they have gone about the destruction of an historical football club.
These people are not CCFC supporters in any shape or form and are just egotistical knobrots, who will,if they get their way, support some sideshow club in an empty stadium. I hope they will all be so fuckin proud of them selves.

Indeed. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I'd support any team that went up against them, and I wish them to go bust as much as them insect cunts.

I have to say that i have been fairly pro-SISU all the way through this. But i am really disappointed that they have felt the need to make the complaint to the EC then seemingly enter into negotiations in good faith, knowing that Wasps would probably not be very happy about it.
It would not surprise me if it had taken three months for the EC to launch its preliminary investigation, at which point they inform Wasps and the Council that they are being investigated. This MAY have happened very recently, and it MAY be that they knew nothing beforehand.
I don't know who to believe anymore. But if Giblet broke the story deliberately at a critical time in the negotiations, i will do all i can to see he doesn't work in this city again!
I don't know what the solution is. Eastwood seems to think the ball is in SISU's court (if you'll forgive the pun), but from my understanding of the process, that is not the case. How on earth could they indemnify Wasps against EC findings? Offer to pay the c. £15M undervalue???

I'm pissed off, truly!

Really feel we should be doing something creative/legal to become a boil on the backside of W*sps / Council if this continues.
There probably is one - I vaguely remember Grendel starting one? - but we need a suggested 'action' thread. I know there will be differing groups/opinions, but we ought to be able to come up with some nuggets, aside from the crude 'slap a Wasp' ideas!
Even suggestions of actions at Wasps games would increase their security costs (as an example)
Bombarding the council with letters to read/answer would tie them up.
We can make their lives a misery if so we choose. i have time on my hands, just over half a brain, and am fairly creative - I'm up for it (but it has to stay legal, otherwise you alienate public support)
The Trust should be making it known publicly now that they will be organising a disruptive protest for every Wasps home game next season. Something different each time. Don't care what, past that point. People on the pitch, block the entrance, a go slow on the roads to block access. Anything like that.

Lock them all in a room and throw away the key. This club can never go forward on the pitch with all of this crap going on off it

If its St Andrews because we cannot move forward with a ricoh deal then I've changed my mind, I'm going.
The club, the players and the manager are not responsible for the wankstains off the pitch and deserve the fans support

We really should stick together if we can, show these wankers that whatever they do to try pull our club down we will still be behind them

This isn't legal action and its not against Wasps.
*This*! And from February!
Other agendas here for Gilberts leak and Eastwood stating talks off.
Honest question... what are they? (stir up anti sisu feeling - worked a treat!, Consortium to reappear? People stupidly) thinking Golden share can be wrestled away from otium entertainment?)
Why??

Could they pay it on the understanding they have joint ownership?

SISU would have known that at some point it would come out if it was A so why would they not have waited until the deal was done or sat down for a deal earlier?

True they would have known it would have come out at some point. However, did they think they could get a contract signed on an extension, based on them not taking out further legal action against wasps before it came out? Then if wasps kicked them out after discovering the complaint they could argue over whether a) it is considered legals or b) it was done before we signed that contract then no further action has been taken following the agreement probably ending with more legal action. Obviously it would all be down to how the extension agreement would be written but just putting a theory out there as to why Sisu may have gone into this underhandedly.

so why not just be open about it then? If it has no effect on wasps just tell everyone what’s going on. Before entering negotiations make it clear that a complaint was made in February to the EC do you want to continue with negotiations? rather than give false hope and weeks of unnecessary talks then if not we will groundshare. Wasps refuse to negotiate then they look like bad guys more fans would support groundshare. If wasps knew about it already fine but for me I would want to see proof they did which surely if requested the EC would be able to confirm when parties were notified? It’s wouldn't exactly be sensitive information.

Completely possible. We know SISU can pull some shady stuff but seems incredibly risky even by their standard.

Agreed very risky and would depend on what advice they would receive of it standing up in court. Tbf they might not even want it to stand up even if it just give them an excuse to stress wasps further with more court action given their financial situation. I don’t know I just would like to hear their side of the story as lots of questions at the moment.
