Different referee second half? Am I reading that right?

What do you expect? Everyone to start giving Burge a standing ovation as he kicks the ball out of play for the 4th time and drops another clanger that costs us a point? Some seem to think that professional footballers shouldn’t be criticised for not doing the basics that are expected of them.
Um stay quiet maybe or a quick frustrated shout and then move on. Not rocket science

Compare the points he has cost us against those saved and im sure i know which way it will lean. Stockdale showed us all what a keeper should do in all areas of the game. Burge fails on almost all of them

He expects fans o support during a game shocker!!!!

Why? People pay money. If you went to a theatre and the leading actor was staggering around pissed and could not remember his lines what would you do - give him a standing ovation or demand your money back?

What do you know about football that robins doesn’t? Are you a professional coach have you ever played at any level at all. He makes mistakes shocker. I’m so glad you and everyone else in her performs perfectly every minute of every day. You watch how well your kids perform if you keep calling them a c##t (sorry nick)

Couldn't go tonight due to a knee op but I take it we predictably passed them to death for the last 10mins or did we roll the dice and try something just a little creative and different like putting someone like Davies up front?
Sadly the first part is correct

He made the right choice not bringing the young lads on. Lot of fans were being total arseholes last night. Hope anyone jeering burge everytime he touched the ball fuck off and don’t come back

‘Hard luck Lee, keep practising and one day you can kick a ball straight’

The most basic of skills to any footballer and in his years as a pro he has either not worked on it or he can’t improve beyond what we see every week. He needs to put extra shifts in at the training ground but he’s too busy trying to nab a move to the Championship

Not in robins opinion. I treat most of what’s said in here as nonsense. Thought mason was excellent today and he got slaughtered on here for most of the game. Very few remain balanced and overall supportive of what robins is trying to do. Most of them are under 25 and people think they’ll improve their performance by shouting abuse and sarcastically cheering. Absolute muppets
Pete, Mason got forward very well but continually gave the ball away with dreadful passes, we all see the game differently and by no means was Mason the only one doing this.
I think Robins has done excellent since his return but a lot of his recruitment is questionable so that and a few naive tactics are stopping him being a better manager, on the same hand though if he was doing a lot of the things I have mentioned here, he wouldn't be with us at all but after all we have had to put up with for the last 10 years or so the fans want success but no matter how much success you get all fans want more more more.
Robins has steadied the club to an extent and brought in young players for the future, I still think we need a couple of experienced 'good' pros to help the kids develop more and learn good habits, Doyle was a good pro but he was too old ...sadly

I was perplexed by the substitutions. However, if MR felt the atmosphere was negative, then my thoughts are that he might have made the assessment that he didn't want these talented youngsters exposed to that.
Bang on and probably correct. They’ll claim not but look at the balanced (not) opinion on here about losing 2-1 and having chances to equalise with 10 men for 30 mins. Bremang misses a chance and they’d probably have booed him too

Me too I agree. The thing with mason was he didn’t hide and still wanted the ball. He would so have deserved the goal had he scored

He’s 25 and an experienced player. You make him sound like a 5 year old whose been told he’s not been selected for a school play

I disagree, i thought last night was the perfect chance to bring Bremang on,what did we have to lose, after all we were losing, push another up there, and as for Burge, well, how can you defend that, dreadful is an understatement.

I said the after the Luton game and got slated for it, but I'll say it again, Burge isn't good enough for an U16 side,he just hasn't improved and he and his agent should fuck off at the end of the season.

Why on earth you argue with this Muppet is beyond me. All he/she ever does is criticise. It's because of muppets of his ilk cause me to just look in occasionally and shake my head in disbelief at the idiotic comments. ‍♂️

Robins is clearly saying Burroughs and bremabg aren’t yet ready for first team football

I can understand why he might have put Bremang on the bench for the matchday experience given that there were no other fit strikers available, but why put Burroughs in if he has no intention of playing him because he's not ready? For me, as much as I like to see kids given a chance if you're going to put them on the bench it has to be that you will at least consider bringing them on. If not you're just reducing your own options.

A one time trip to see a play at the theatre , that you have no afinity to and paid to go to see in the same way you would to see a Hollywood movie Vs a football match that you got to week in week out and see as you love your city, the club, it’s rich history throughout your whole life & that you are fully invested in almost the same way you are with family... and that, hopefully , you want to see succeed ... yeah they are exactly the same aren’t they ??
Would you heckle your sons team if the keeper was have a mare... that’s the way it see cov.
I understand they are professionals and they get paid a lot of money comparably speaking , and this is the life they chose etc etc ... but it goes deeper than that & while I might vent frustration at the team in general I would never boo or single out a player and jeer the way some of our fans do... it a player is shit then he’s shit, he’s been brought the club and picked by the manger , which suggests he’s the best we got for the moment or at least the player the manager and club have put there , that isn’t there fault, and nothing is gonna change that , and Jerring him and booing is not going to make him play better, It’s just going to add to the problem , even if it does make you feel big and clever

Get over yourself and get behind the team the manager puts out as best you can... that doesn’t mean sitting and clapping when we are playing shit... but it also doesn’t warrant being a total dick against individual players when they are struggling and we have no other options

As somebody with an awful lot of knowledge of the game same to me last night that in there opinion Burge isn’t good enough for pro football. The concentration levels for pro football are extremely high. Burge slips up every 10-12 games but he creates uncertainty with his defence. He has no heart either and cowardly bottles out coming for crosses and comanding his 18 yard box.

Better out there and needs to be released.

Given your expert opinion why do you think he

Was the league 3 keeper of the season?
Has played 150 games in professional football?
Robins doesn’t say he isn’t good enough and needs replacing ?

So what if he was “voted” as the best keeper in the 4th tier last year. Doesn’t mean he is capable at a higher level which has been proved last time he was at this level and is proving to be the case now.
I’ll get you the tissues when he leaves in the summer as it’s quite clear that Robins has seen the light too.

Burge needs dropping for Every ones sake but is Addai up to it?
Burges performances he been deteriorating some his mistake against Walsall and the two weeks he was out injured don't seem to have given him the required breather.
However, if Robins does continue to play him then if you can't back him then at least don't boo him.
I don't agree with making any one a boo boy but making your keeper one is madness.

Booing actively makes players play worse.

Why would you want your own players to play worse?

Can anyone explain this?

I wish we could drop him, but I think the lack of faith in Addai is obvious, following our option of taking up Stockdale’s emergency loan stint last month.

Saying that, he couldn’t do any worse than the current incumbent of the shirt. 2 huge clangers in the past 3 games since his return, really have threatened to end our season prematurely. Ok, so Thomas and Bright’s contribution may have led to our conceding of Burton’s winner on Friday evening, but the glaring fact of the matter is that he isn’t learning his lesson and becoming an absolute liability. It’s unacceptable but I agree that booing him isn’t the answer. However, if he’s hell bent on leaving and head isn’t in the game, is it best to bring in Addai? I genuinely don’t know the answer.

Burge isn’t helping himself with the rest of his game either; the flap in the first half, the goal kick passed into touch, staying on his line when he should come for crosses and vice versa. No wonder we are so prone to conceding from set plays. The ‘he’s a good shot stopper’ line is beyond tiresome.

I think Thomas’ form has dipped of late. First half he wasn’t great but I felt he was tremendous second half particularly when we were down to ten men. He has had a great season, never stops trying and deserves only praise. (Yes, I know he continually misses chances, but will no doubt improve on this as he gets more experienced, unfortunately, probably not with us. I actually thought he steadied himself better with the chance that hit the post, 6 inches to the right and it would have hit the net).

You want your team to win, you want your players to perform to their best. It was obvious that Burge was jittery and lacking confidence all game. So to make him feel better and therefore play better why boo him or, just as bad, ironically cheer him? He had a poor game but treating him like that is never going to help him or, presumably what all fans want, help our team to win. As mentioned above, at worst, just say nothing, at least until after the game. Some fans are ignorant and thick.

Burge attracts constant criticism and lately has certainly cost us points yesterday and v Luton but let’s talk Luke Thomas, he’s a good player no doubt and perhaps up there for player of the season but how many points has he cost us ? I reckon we could have won four or five more games had he taken some of the glorious missed chances he’s had.
