Which baffles me as to why people are so scared about any sort of pressure against them if it means a chance of their club being saved...

Only Wasps and SISU can make the deal, others around have some sort of clout and influence.

Why not pressure them all if the aim is a deal? That's why I think for some that isn't the main thing in all of this.
I think there is a slight difference is that a lot of people solely put this down to SISU. There is however a big difference in asserting pressure to get change and just simply throwing blame around. This just isn’t the time for muck throwing it’s about solutions

Is just shouting at SISU going to get a solution? Surely a solution is more likely when pressure is applied to everybody?

Otherwise it is just like the council leader, freely does and says whatever knowing full well there's no pressure on him to even back things up that are said.

That's in no way saying drop any pressure on SISU too, there isn't any anyway by staying behind at a home game to sing a few songs. That's not SISU.

It's got them all fired up.

Maybe one day people will see my point when everybody is too busy wanking over the council and their PR and still getting away with anything they want.

This is exactly why it's done.

Yep idiots!

Can’t we just enjoy the last few months of Coventry City? Maybe people will forget all this nonsense when they see that once we cease to exist SISU will not be bothered in the slightest, probably still be carrying on the legals.

At least we can all sit back and enjoy the Wasps downfall, followed by the council trying to plug the hole in the crumbling Coventry economy left by no football team, that most other local authorities benefit from.

One thing I will say is, if the football club go down. I would really love to see SISU bring Wasps and the council down with the club

Well that's the thing. These people highlighted here are total idiots. It's the normal fan we need to be concerned about, not crackpots.

People like this David Johnson seem intelligent enough. People who come out with just made up nonsense are simply crazy in the coconut.

I think you could tell them dinosaurs didn't exist and are a trick of the devil and they'd believe you and they'd probably buy into a new soft drink product if you told them it was minus calories.

I think you are missing the point. The whole aim is to get people to be like that... That's what articles like this are for.

Why do you think his mate, the bloke on the trust board who works for the council has multiple accounts to reel stuff like that off all day to people like that? They are the ones trying to fill heads about the dinosaurs as you put it!

There's people now saying if people expect wasps to do a deal they are as morally corrupt as sisu.

David Johnson is pressing the like button for them all.

It seems like it's Cov Utd or a new Phoenix Club.

Looking through, a fair few of the ones pushing so much nonsense are involved with them.

Captain Dart
Rich87 (used to post on here about going to support them instead)
Sydney Sky Blue (as above, see Coventry United - is it time to get behind them? )
Tim (Fisherbaiter) (ex Director and supporter it seems. Works for the council and heavily involved with them. Also needs about 7 or 8 social media accounts to push his misleading made up facts)
David (ex director as well and sidekick to Tim).
Guy called Greg who is the official photographer for Cov Utd gets stuck in.

Strange, they are the core people who push this sort of thing and a Phoenix Club (not the funny one in Bolton). Surely just another one of those MASSIVE co-incidences that keep occurring?

Those damn co-incidences that keep occurring!

As I keep saying, their interest isn't getting CCFC a home for next year.

David Johnson is an odious man but the looks of it. The sooner something happens the better, he needs to just go into the wilderness. If anything he talks about Jimmy Hill..Jimmy Hill would never have sided with an out of town rugby team and the local authority no matter how bad SISU are

Just looks like too ordinary fans using limited knowledge to put 2 and 2 together and coming up with the wrong answer on that twitter account. Cant see anywhere that has David Johnson putting a like on any of the posts. Offering up opinions, even if demonstrably wrong, is not rewriting history.

All pretty clueless. Am losing the will to live with all this nonsense and it is only going to get worse the closer we get to the deadline. Personally i think personal attacks on any side of these arguments are just wrong and greatly weaken any point being made.

Just to be clear. No one can know if SISU have "pocketed" anything as of yet, the figures are just not available. First off though all money has to be paid to or accounted for by OEG/CCFC, and after that OEG/CCFC costs have to be met before even beginning to calculate if there is anything left to repay ARVO (SISU Capital nor SBS&L have anything directly owing to them from OEG/CCFC) You cannot make simplistic calculations as in the above twitter exchange because it ignores things like increased wage costs (new players and after promotion), bonus payments, increased overheads, timing of cash flows, the real amounts paid for players etc.

In the 2017 accounts (the last ones available) income was 6.1m total costs were £7.2m the profit on player sales 0.25m leaving a deficit before interest charges of 0.85m. That is a deficit that has to be paid for simply for the club to keep going. It is a similar picture every year. How do they think CCFC keeps going if SISU keep "pocketing" the money

Fans might not like it but owners are entitled to withdraw money that has been lent to a club. In our case there is no great evidence that this is happening. Over the two years to 2017 SISU have put in close to £1m in extra loans.

On the positive side if it did happen funds were used to repay loans that means a club is slightly more saleable because there is less debt left to repay and less interest is charged

Leaving certain things out is rewriting history. People saying the council have been honest and haven't bullshitted through out all of this is rewriting history when factually they have been proven to be bullshitting. It's no different to Brexit / remain propaganda.

People aren't putting 2 and 2 together, they are being told this by particular accounts online and have it drummed into them day in day out. It's like they are being groomed. Who is behind those accounts and why are they doing that? We have been over that one.

It's what I pointed out months ago. It's all for a reason.

No. Its an opinion. As is your analysis of what is going on.

We all get told stuff and form an opinion from there. Including you and including me. Doesnt mean we have to have the same opinion.

People are entitled to an opinion even if it is wrong or in your opinion it is wrong

It's not an opinion if it's factually wrong. It's just something people hide behind when they don't want to listen to the actual fact or choose to ignore them for a reason.

Was it Johnson's opinion as to why he boycotts matches or was it factually wrong?

Maybe if somebody wrote an article about the war and said particular things never happened it would just be opinion?

Yep, it’s best to avoid this absolute minefield of a subject.

Both sides will eventually come together and sort something out. Coventry going extinct over this does damage to everyone involved.

Can you point out where I said anything about pay? I'd be interested to see that.

Yet again, you seem to struggle to read what is said in a thread and jump in saying something that isn't even there. It is becoming a bit of a habit, isn't it? It's almost as if you want to take it off into a completely different direction.

I am just pointing out the patterns in it all.

You appear to be saying I am trying to see CCFC don't have a home next year, but I've said repeatedly that SISU have to drop the litigation and negotiate with Wasps. I do not believe Wasps will negotiate without that happening, they've said so and I believe it is a genuine intention.

You seem to think it is up to Wasps to deal with CCFC regardless, well I don't think they will because the only weapon they have to stop litigation is the stadium deal and if they refuse to renew it they'll try to replace the income with something else, (like rugby league, I'm guessing here, but as they've secured a RL world cup game for 2021 its plausible, NFL is another possibility they may try to pull in).

Feel free to stand up for SISU but if you accept that don't need to pull litigation then you must accept the real possibility that CCFC will be driven out of Coventry.

As for my so called act, that is more nonsense from you, I'm asking questions and you can't give a clear answer.

Can you point out where I have stood up for SISU? I am the one here saying that they should be pressured along with everybody else. It is you and your weird pals I listed above who are strongly against any pressure on the other parties. Who is standing up for who?

Again, you go on with more shite unrelated to what I said. Funny that, isn't it?

Like I said right at the start of the thread, there are people who are massively against / scared of pressure against the other parties. There's probably only RFC who thinks there shouldn't be any pressure on SISU and he's probably out chasing unicorns.

All you have done is prove exactly what I was saying, as have others. You have no argument other than the old "stand up for SISU" type shit without realising you are doing exactly the same, every time for every other party and I am here saying chuck bricks through SISU's window and that of course they should be pressured.

Thanks for proving my point. This is where you can pretend you didn't read any points and just go off on something unrelated, as per every other thread you jump into.

Like I said, the true colours of who is apologising for who and standing up for who is coming out. It just proves the point I made originally.

"Say all parties should be pressured and see who comes out and says SISU shouldn't be pressured and see who comes out and says other parties shouldn't be"

I can't see many saying anything about no pressure on SISU, funnily enough lots of people who give it the "SISU sympathiser" nonsense seem to be a bit rattled at the thought of any other party being pressured.

it is a bit of a nonsense.

All sides need to move somewhat, but Sisu really need to make that first step and stop the legal proceedings.

They have clearly completely pissed off the council and that in turn has influenced Wasps.

Stopping the legal challenge would be the key to unlock all the doors.

If Wasps still refuse and go back on their word following this, then a massive campaign drummed up against Wasps and encouraging of boycotts etc. Also combined with protests against the council too.

Drop the legal battle and let's see if the goodwill is there or it's just all bullshit.

If the aim is to save the club and find somebody to play, surely there should be pressure on anybody who can make that happen?

I am really struggling to see why somebody would be against that if the aim was about CCFC and a deal being done.

I've never heard such a load of nonsense on here. That report was essentially how the timeline of things have panned out. Anything left out really cannot be that significant in the grand scheme of things or SISU themselves would commission an article to both tackle the unfairness and put it out there in the media or they would be launching yet another court action.
It's just my opinion of course but in short SISU came to Cov in 2007 looking to make a profit as all hedge funds do. Firstly they did to be fair chuck good money to managers and players who made poor decisions and quickly wasted a limited war chest, they then turned to the stadium and the merits of getting it on the cheap. The existing rent deal was unfair but why wasn't this tackled in the 'due dilligence' stage of negotiations ? We then had a succession of extortionate 'Management charges' imposed on the club to continually put us in the red. The club were ordered to exist within their means { fair enough}. Then came the rent strike, the forced exodus to Northampton, the war of words with the council, the personal threats against individuals in the council, the expression of never returning, of building our own stadium elsewhere, more threats etc. Then the return ! Within the same week Fisher babbles on about leaving again and building elsewhere, numerous lies start bounding around about land purchase. In the midst of this there is relegation and administration. The court cases are failing but repeating yearly. The council thoroughly fucked off by now and then the Higgs make the fateful decisions to hit back at SISU and tragically for the club with the spiteful decision to flog the whole shebang to a London based rugby club for not a lot of money. The court cases continue and here we are at stand off point with the football club being booted around between them as collateral damage.

I'd like to see SISU sell up to new owners and fuck off for good and CCFC start to build bridges with the city authorities and strike a deal with our current landlords. I'd also like to see SISU's court action be played out { Not in the name of CCFC } and they win and take Wasps to the cleaners and take the council employees to account who shat on our football club, thus hopefully seeing the back of both hedge funds from Coventry and those individuals who helped us into this mess.

All a bit of a pipe dream I know and still leaves us looking for a home to actually own ?!
