Burge 6 - massively hung out to dry by Willis, made some good saves and claimed crosses well
Sterling 7 - about the only good player we have
Willis 5 - what the fuck was he thinking?
Hyam 6 - didn’t stand out, suppose that’s good for a CB
McCallum 5 - not as calamitous as his last performance
Meyler 6 - decent but clearly not fit
Westbrooke 5 - shit set-pieces and nothing going forward
Shipley 5 - Mediocre
Bright 4 - would of been a 3 if he didn’t score, takes 10 touches when one will do, shit decision making and so so so slow
Thomas 4 - see above with the added aspect of always trying to shoot from stupid angles ever time he has it. Hasn’t put in a good performance since re-signing.
Hiwula 2 - what is the point?

Bakayoko 3 - at least he made the runs unlike Hiwula, shit finishing
Bayliss 5

Robins - 3

Shit set pieces? Not sure what game you were watching. Today was the most threatening we’ve looked for an age from set pieces

Burge 7 - great save in the first half, blameless for the pen, more positive with his catching, distribution poor

Sterling 6 - poor by the high standards he's set himself lately

Willis 5 - horrendous mistake to give away the Pen, can't pass.

Hyam 6 - average today.

McCallam 4 - out of his depth at the minute.

Mehler 5 - some nice touches, but some poor ones too clearly rusty.

Westbrook 5 - neat and tidy but really didnt impose himself.

Shipley 5 - sloppy in possession but unlike a lot of his teammates didnt hide.

Thomas 5 - our only real threat, but nowhere near as good as he has been this season

Bright 5 - obviously has lots of ability, but often too deep to really influence the game. Did well on the counter for the goal.

Hiwula 4 - isolated and offered nothing.

Subs

Bakayoko 3 - did nothing but miss 2 sitters.

Bayliss 6 - tried to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, started to drive us forward until the equaliser.

Wakefield n/a

Robins 2 - so negative, we play 1 upfront, bring on Another striker and move Hiwula to the wing and stay with one up front. We're overplaying all of the time, constantly trying to pass the ball into the goal. Not enough balls in the box, not enough player in the box, little width. For all the possession we created just 3 decent chances all game

Burge - 6.5. Not his fault for the pen. Decent save in the first half

Sterling - 7.5. Thought he was excellent today and really kept his man on the left pretty quiet. Got forwards well too.

Hyam - 6th

Willis - 6.5. Would have been 7.5+ if not for the bad back header for the pen.I

McCallum - 5.5.Looked a little lost at times.

Thomas - 7. Thought he was busy and bright today.

Meyer - 6. Half decent, but c!early not quite match sharp at the moment.

Westbrooke -5.5. A bit hit and miss, but it was also worrying to notice just how slow he is when he hasn't got the ball. Totally outpaced when Gillingham had the ball on the break

Shipley - 5. Too much wayward passing undid his good work.

Enobakhare - 6.5. All our good stuff came through him, but he clearly tired in that second half and I was baffled as to why he didn't get subbed. He could hardly run at the end.

Hiwula - 4.5 . Hard to see what he brings to the game unfortunately. Rather absent.

Subs:

Bakayoko - 4.5. Be interesting what others say about him, because if those two misses had been Chaplin's the lad would have got totally crucified.

Bayliss - Not really in the game enough to mark.

Wakefield - Ditto.

Bright 4? Utter nonsense. He was out of gas at 70 minutes but before then was excellent. The fact you've rated him lower than Shipley makes you look even more stupid.

Burge 6.5 seems to have gained a bit of confidence claimed several in the air pulled off good save in 1st half.
Sterling 6 not to his recent standards
Willis 6 poor mistake but otherwise was ok
Hyam 6 far better than last week
McCallum 6 looks good prospect
Thomas 6.5 generally played fairly well.
Shipley 5 started well some very poor passes played better when moved into central midfield.
Mayler 6 looked good obviously not match fit yet. Surprised he wasn’t given another 10 minutes.
Bright 6.5 Holds the ball far too long but has a different level of class to the rest of the team. Little concerned he seemed to sulk before he was taken off after he failed to make a simple pass to Thomas when we we 3 v 2.
Westbrook 6 seems a good player in there.
Hiwula 4 wasn’t really in the game.
Baka 5 could have been more if he put his chances away. Gave us something more going forward but must score the sitters.
Bayliss 6 bright something to the game by running at opponents.

Burge - 6.5 didn’t have a lot to do but did it all very well. Claimed two awkward crosses and a great save first half. Not his fault for penalty.

Sterling - 7 typical sterling performance, strong at both ends, unlucky not to score his first goal for us

Willis - 4 very cagey performance with some awful distribution, topped off by an awful mistake which cost us the goal

McCallum - 6 much improved on last performance

Thomas - 5.5 appears to have gone off the boil lately. On two + occasions he should have got a shot away earlier

Meyler - 6.5 liked what I saw but clearly lacking match fitness

Shipley - 4.5 some nice touches but way too many poor ones

Westbrooke - 6 neat and tidy, much better set pieces

Bright - 7.5 thought he was a class above bar the two mistakes he made towards the end as he tired

Hiwula - 4 pretty much anonymous

Subs

Bayliss - 6 drove forward in his usual fashion and looked to make things happen

Bakayoko - 4 missed two sitters and has bright to thank we’re not slaughtering him

were you there?
Were you?
Honestly those ratings are a joke.
You gave Burge a 3 why made the only save required in the first half penalty is always a 50 50 chance.
3 for Mehier thought he did well for a player who hasn't played much football this season.
And even though I love Shipley a 7 and MOTM seriously!

If Bakayoko scored his chance and Willis didn’t make the mistake we would have won 2-0 and you would be saying we were amazing and should be going for automatic promotion!!

Robins 2 - poor decision making, bad timing with wrong substitutions, no idea how to change it. Fed up up hearing the same rubbish from him every week. Most players with bang average performances so 6s all round and our sloppy mistakes will continue to be punished heavily if we don't take our own chances.

Pretty much spot on and fair. Good to see less of the hysteria of some posters and more measured judgment.

We get it nick, you want him gone. I want him to stay. My thoughts are he deserves the time to develop this squad. 8th or 18th this year doesn’t make a difference. We stay in this league and go again with a squad with more experience and not the usual 30+ year olds to ship out
Unfortunately, It will be a complete rebuild again next year, rather than building on a strong foundation from this season. I know there were a few not in the starting line up today like Bayliss and Kelly but based on todays starting line up and contract situation:

-------------------???
???------????----hyam---McCallum
----------------?????
------Westbrook Shipley
????------------------------------?????
------------Hiwula

That is hardly building on Your better players.

Burge 6 - better than recent weeks. Seemed to gain confidence when we scored and started claiming crosses. Hopefully the penalty doesn't knock it back down.

Sterling 7 - great as usual

Hyam 6 - better against Eaves than against that Blackpool target man last week

Willis 5 - good until the mistake.

McCallum 6 - looked less nervy than his debut and probably our best left back option

Meyler 4 - could see the quality but needs to go up a couple of gears

Shipley 5 - some decent one touch stuff, when he has time to think his distribution is much worse. Needs to tackle!

Westbrooke 5.5- similar to Shipley, bit more combative

Bright Enobakhare 7.5 mom - first 70 minutes Paul Gascoigne last 20 minutes Bianca Gascoigne

Luke Thomas 6.5 - great shift

Jordi Hiwula 5.5 - ok in spells, needs to pull trigger quicker

Baka 3 - this week's striker guilty of missing sitters. As much to blame as Willis for the fact we didn't win

Bayliss 6 - did his stuff.
