Yeah. TV shows appear on the film thread at times.

Can we split it further and have Good TV and Bad TV, cos we are all always in agreement with each other on here.

Anyone watching The Passage on Fox?

Not bad. Not great, but enough about it to keep me interested.

I'm falling out of love with current British sitcom. Have gone to comedy categories on iPlayer etc and pretty much haven't cracked a smile at anything. It's mostly gross out stuff with telegraphed jokes, shoehorned in comedians and unrealistic scenarios so if anybody can recommend any good uns it would be much appreciated.
My taste is for stuff like Black Books, Father Ted, Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder.

Agree. Can say I hardly like any of the new sitcoms at all and the sitcom used to be the staple diet of the British viewing public.

Out of modernish sitcoms (not even that modern) I liked Black Books, The IT Crowd and Men Behaving Badly.,

Hated the modernish ones that have tried to be old fashioned (My Family and Mrs. Brown's Boys).

Forgot the IT crowd and just remembered The Mighty Boosh which I suppose is a kind of sitcom as it was set in a zoo.

Agree on those other two awful ones.

Love Lee Mack but Not Going Out just doesn't work for me.

Agree. Liked it at first, but as soon as Tim Vine left and Lee and (can't remember her name) got together it was very poor.

Getting back to the theme: been enjoying Cleaning Up with Sheridan Smith, also new series of Cold Feet although can be a bit hit and miss sometimes.

Never saw the first series.

At the moment I am watching True Detective, The Good Place, Star Trek Discovery and The Passage.

Like the Ben Fogle series about couples who have left the rat race to live in the wild. Find these kind of things compelling viewing.

Ha. Still peddling that one are we. ;)
Oh man, I'm really trying (as my wife describes me!).

It's not the normal crazy, wacky, fluffy Carrey type stuff, but some extremely good scenario's, awkwardly, dark humour!

I....won't...let...it...lie :shamefullyembarrased:

Bloody love still game, Winston is brilliant

I think I might have posted this before but they opened a new bingo hall near to where the wifes cousin lives in Scotland, they asked the guy who plays Winston to open it.
Can't remember the exact figures but his agent wanted something like 2 grand for him to open it as himself but 6 grand if they wanted him dressed like Winnie!!

I’d dress like him for £500

I follow some of the cast on Twitter
The guy who plays tam and the lady who plays isa seem to do a few bits like that too , isa scrubs up well

Sex Education on Netflix is a decent watch. Making a Murderer S2 is also decent. Finished Daredevil S3, really enjoyed that. D'Onifrio ( sp) is excellent as Fisk.

Just watched Abducted in Plain sight on Netflix.

That is batshit crazy. Trouble is, it's all true.

Anyone else see it?

My daughter wants to watch Sex Education. She is 14. Is it suitable?

She’s probably been watching goat porn online for years, go for it (I think it’s “teen” so depends on what sort of 14 yo)
