Leinster are well supported in these parts I guess aren't they?

Yep, a few years back I was speaking to someone from Coventry about the stadium fiasco and the only good news for him in all this was being able to see Leinster locally.

I was chatting to my kiwi friends. They think he is overhyped and not good enough for the all blacks. He is error prone and makes mistakes under pressure. They said he their version of Theo Walcott.

He knows he’s not good enough for the all blacks as he’d be in New Zealand fighting for his place.

Apologies for the parking issue today at the Ricoh. This issue will be rectified for our show next year and sincerely apologies for those that experienced issues. Was out of our control and the Ricoh are taking seriously to rectify which we are very grateful for.

Shockingly the 61% of people agree with waiving the fee in the poll on the telegraph.

Despite the story saying that the event was for suppliers only, the option implies that the event is a ''big event for Coventry'. Embarrassing.

A while back there was rumours that the players weren't happy and there would be some exits as there were contract clauses allowing them to leave if the training ground wasn't sorted. Of course the PR machine was fired up and it was all denied.

Since then it appears several high profile players have left and this chap who has announced he is leaving today appears to have been the subject of rumours saying he would trigger a clause in his contract regarding the lack of training ground to allow him to leave while under contract has confirmed he is leaving, Wasps have confirmed he has triggered a clause in his contact, not given any details but told supporters its nothing to do with the training ground. Seems legit.

How many of these players leaving are moving to clubs in London?

It might be the training ground or could be something to do with European qualification? I think the training ground stuff is likely to be a red herring, especially as I think Daly was a player who had come through the ranks there.

Their gates for the rest of the season will be interesting, very little to play for and a possible, if unlikely, relegation battle.

When the rumours came out they just got the pr Andy Goode out to say people were jealous. Others said it was sisu and les Reid using contacts stirring things up.

Looking forward to the ‘RugbyPod’ podcast this week Jim Hamilton will be ripping into AG as he is the wasps pr machine and kept saying Daly was going nowhere!

According to the news there's a league meeting tomorrow about scrapping promotion and relegation. They were trying to make out it was for the good of the game and improving the England team. The same sort of bollocks we were all told when the Premier League was founded.

Hope they do vote in favour of it. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

They have a new forum now as the old one was developing technical issues as no one was posting in the 14 day period before it froze.

That’s not a joke. It must be constructed on string

The forum on the SN sites have nothing to do with the 'shutting down' issue though. That's to do with lack of postings on 'News' pages, thereby pissing-off advertisers who actually pay for the network to run.
Having checked theirs, they don't appear to have posted a news item since last October 5th - and then they whinge when they get shut down! ;)

Seems they've done a swap for Ben Velacott. Not bad business TBH, so perhaps I'd better shut up! ;)
Still, the platitudes from Simpson about his 'boyhood club' etc don't sit well. I wonder how many 'London' players they have left now? Seems like most have now voted with their feet.

I genuinely don't know much about Rugby but it seems like a lot of important players are leaving. Are they in danger of a relegation battle next year?

Not yet, I'd say, but much depends on the upcoming comings and goings - and whether the Prem Chairmen get their way and shut the gateway. In which case they all breathe a sigh and throttle back, while watching the fans drift away every Christmas (ish) (well, those that bothered in the first place) when the league top end shuffle between Sarries and Exeter is all but done and dusted.

Swapping Simpson with Velacott in fairness wasps have got the better end of that deal.

Wasps have signed a few NZ’s to come up prob on big money, if they play to their potential they could be onto something but if they don’t ‘fancy it’ as such, don’t settle, it could be a helluva lot of money on ‘flops’
