In the last game the Sky Blues under 18's beat top of the league Ipswich Town away.... and tonight exit the Youth Cup to Cogenhoe.

Its a funny old game...…..

Although I didn't do too much laughing tonight if I'm honest !

Sorry Monners, didn't really notice him specifically. Their team played well though, closed City down quickly and deserved to win. You were right about pronunciation. I said Co-gun-ho and got laughed at and quickly corrected!
No worries mate. The lad is buzzing with the win. It really is a big deal for club of its size. A lot of the lads were in the youth set up at Northampton (Tom was at Kettering also, as were a lot of the others ).

There's a report on ccfc about it. Lost to Oxford. First teamers included thompson, Mason, Shipley. Again no Kelly or ogogo. It's really curious. I know 23s is slow paced etc but why not give them 90 mins.

If he ever makes the first team it has to be this song surely.

The Chiffons - He's so Fine.

He's so fine (Bremang, Bremang, Bremang)
Scores all the time (Bremang, Bremang, Bremang)

Under 18s drew 4-4 with Reading on Saturday. Only 3 under 18s played, mostly u16s and 1 under 15. I very impressive result against a Cat 1 Academy.
A large group of local home grown talent will be full time scholars next year from the current under 16s group and should be very competitive in the cat 2 games program.

Was going to ask how they got on - good result given the opposition and the age of the team (any idea what ages Reading put out?)

Is there a danger some of these youngsters could be poached by Cat1's? If many of them are local and been with the club for a while I hope they'd stay even if temptation was placed there but you never know. How's McCann getting on at Man U?

Well his daughter disappeared in Portugal a few years back, so not great I would have thought.

Sounds like he could also be the parents of our strikers, midfielders, defenders and goalie who regularly go missing.

He's starting for Man Utd tonight against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup

Reading were older than Cov on Saturday but not a full strength 18s team

Is there another one minute's silence for Sala before the game and half and half Cardiff/Coventry City U21 scarves available?

If there's food, hopefully they won't have any plane crisps.
