Ahhhhhh it's his dad. SB.
I will make a detective one day!
Thought the hint was Edgar Rice Burroughs.
The Sky Blues under 18s have been drawn away to Burton in the 1st round of this years FA Youth Cup.
Time and date still to be confirmed.
The U18s drew 1-1 at Watford yesterday. They are now up to 5th with 11 points - 4 points becond second placed Cardiff. I think they’ve got someone in now doing the media for the academy side of the club so there should be a better output on news and highlights
First year scholar goalkeeper Cian Tyler started for Wales U17s yesterday in their 1-0 win over Kazakhstan. They now face Portugal on Tuesday in their final game
U23s at the Ricoh tomorrow:
U23 match report:
REPORT: Sky Blues 4-1 Colchester United
U16 William Bapaga scored the U18s goal on Saturday - his 3rd of the season as he continues to impress playing up. FA Youth Cup first round against Burton been confirmed for this Friday with a 7pm kick off
Jak hickman... Any good? Scored today, seems to be playing further forward. Nice loan spell for a month, do we know if it wasn't extended because we wanted him back or they didn't want him?
Usually a right back isn't he.
Great if he has that flexibility to play in more than one position.
Guess we got him back due to grimmer’s injury
Two year deal for Jack Burroughs:
Always good to get your best youngsters signed up
The U18s are through to the second round of the FA Youth Cup tonight after coming through unscathed in a potential banana skin against Burton 2-1. Sam McCallum opened the scoring from a corner before Jack Burroughs netted the all important goal after a superb ball from Jonathan Ngandu.
Team was: Bilson, B.Rowe, Endall, White, McCallum, L.Rowe, Hunt, Burroughs, Bapaga, Ngandu, Crowther
Jack Burroughs isn't a winger is he?
Can play wing, central midfield and attacking midfield. Will be interesting to see where he ends up - he pops up with goals wherever he plays as he’s direct and a strong runner
Yeah. Just surprised they described him as a right winger.
You would have thought they would have gone with something like the midfielder, who played wide right tonight. Something like that.
It's like saying 'Tom Bayliss, the right winger'.
Just a minor gripe, but like you say he can play in the centre as an attacking midfielder too.
As someone who has watched him play a lot
He prefers to play as a number 8, although is happy as a 10 or wide. He played as a right wing back tonight as the analysis on Burton was that their left back was maybe a weak link. So it was specifically targeted tonight..
Who is that new striker we signed recently? Is it bapaga?
No Bapaga is an U16 player playing up, was signed by Rio Ferdinand’s agency last year. He has 3 goals this season for the U18s
The striker we signed recently is David Bremang who has been playing for the U23s but not been on the bench for the first team yet. I don’t think he’s eligible for FA Youth Cup games as he’s too old but the left back we signed McCallum is
The U23s are away at Crystal Palace this afternoon - 1pm kick off at Selhurst Park, there’s also a home fixture against Charlton on Friday with a 1pm kick off also
The game is free to watch today if you register a free account on Palace’s website

The returning Jack Grimmer and Brandon Mason in the full back berths. Tony Andreu having to make do with playing in the U23s for the time being, partnering Jonathan Ngandu in midfield.
Scott Dann and Papa Souare start for them
Who's the trialist I wonder?
Not bad so far. I like the 4-1-4-1 formation but the two wide players need to be closer to Bremang, who is so isolated.
Also, Billy Stedman has no right foot whatsoever. Had space to shoot inside the area but tried to get it on his left, then had the chance to play in Grimmer but didn't want to pass with his right foot.
I’m quite impressed so far. Palace can’t cope with City’s pressing and have yet to muster an opportunity but we’ve only had half opportunities. I like Bremang up front, needs to work harder out of possession but you can see there’s a player in there. The two CMs Eccles and Ngandu have also played well putting challenges in
Mark Bright impressed with us
Good play again from Bremang, free kick wasted
Aram Soleman right back recently released by WBA. Just came on
1-0 - Josh Eccles. Keeper flaps at a free kick and he powers one home. He's played well.
Just saw he was released by WBA in May.
Full time 1-0. So pleased for Josh Eccles after his horrific leg break at the same ground last season.
All the team played really well and the first team players led by example.

Goal from Friday nights 2-1 away win at Burton in FAYC scored by Jack Burroughs
U18's lost 5-1 away to Bristol City, Pretty young team by the looks of it.
Team: Tyler, Whitmore, Martin, Costa, B.Rowe (c), White, Lautaru, Pitts-Ekersall, Hunt, Bapaga, Crowther
Subs: Bilson, Endall, Nee, Nightingale, Scott
Lautaru got the goal according to BC academy twitter
Yes that’s correct Costa, Eckersall, Bapaga, Nee, Nightingale and Scott are all U16 players. It will be an up and down season, when they’ve had the best players available they’ve won every game I believe but first and foremost it’s about player development and challenging players at higher age groups.
In other news, Jonathan Ngandu turned 17 last week and subsequently signed professional terms. Also, the FA Youth Cup second round has been drawn and we have an away tie at either Grantham Town or Cogenhoe United. Tie to be played before 17th November
Surprised the N'Gandu signing pro terms wasn't on the website/media as they announced Burroughs' signing.
Speaking of Burroughs, I'm surprised his younger brother wasn't involved with the U18's at the weekend given he's been assured of a two year scholarship. Injured?
Hopefully he has 5 brothers and each brother is better than previous one.
A bit like the Marx Brothers.
The younger Burroughs (and the last one Otis) scored the winner for the under 16s on Saturday when they beat Bristol City 4-3. He plays CB where the 18's already have two 2nd year and one 1st year scholars. He normally features amongst the substitutes.
£4 adults, £2 concessions. Game to be played on Monday 15th Feburary at 7pm.
Sambou bags a brace, and a general...
Does anyone know if there is a live stream for tonight's youth cup game?
U18s in the FA Youth Cup tonight down Nuneaton... could see some goals - £3 entry....
Now that the U18s season has finished I thought I'd post this.
