Unrest at Scunthorpe...

Difficult times at Scunthorpe this season which has prompted a interesting statement that the chairman has put out

Scunthorpe have won just once in the last 10 league games and shipped a staggering 44 goals this season.

Scunthorpe are already on manager no 2 of the season with Stuart McCall in charge after Nick Daws was sacked 4 games in even after the opening day win at the Ricoh with a 5-0 defeat to Fleetwood his last game.

Chairman's message

about due time McCall goes back to Bradford isn't it?

Darrell Clarke has left Bristol Rovers by mutual consent.

Clarke was in charge for over 4 seasons and overseen back to back promotions from the national league

Apparently Charlton are hoping to sign two players before Saturday. I wonder whether one of them could be Ogogo as they were strongly linked with him ahead of us in the summer.

Portsmouth have completed the signing of midfielder Andy Cannon from Rochdale.

Oxford hijacked the signing of Glenavon midfielder Mark Sykes who was almost a Port Vale player.

Fleetwood’s Bobby Grant made his move to Wrexham a permanent deal for the usual undisclosed fee.

Scunthorpe re-signed Kevin Van Veen from Northampton Town for a reported 6 figure sum

Luton manager Nathan Jones looks increasingly likely over the day to be announced the next Stoke manager.

Should that happen I wonder how that will impact Luton’s promotion hopes and who they may look at replacing him with.

Interesting few days ahead for Luton.

Surprised he wants to talk to Stoke to be honest, especially while he has a great chance of taking Luton up.

Was quite funny the Luton fans making out it was nonsense and he wouldn't leave while he is working on Luton.

With no disrespect to Luton. Stoke will offer him a financial package that is probably 10x what he is on at Luton. He will get to work with a budget of an ex-Premier League club with parachute payments that will allow him to sign players he desires, Stokes current squad will be far superior to the current players he plays with, he gets to manage in a decent stadium, and if he does well he could end up in the Premier League as soon as next season. It is an absolutely massive step up in job/club size.

Been confirmed as Stoke manager. Big blow for Luton that.

But a good sign for any promotion hopefuls. Arguably the best team to come to the Ricoh this season.

Especially if he raids Luton Strikers its not going to look good for Luton as the season progresses

Would they make the step up?

Think they have just spent millions on Afobe.
he likes Collins and i think he would take him as a bench warmer or tactical changes. From what i have seen in the lower premiership and upper Championship Willis would hold his own , i think we judge some players without taking into account they will have better players around them which would cover a lot o their infalibilites we see in league 1 blood and guts football.

James Collins?

At the minute they have:

Afobe for 12m in this window
Crouch
Diouf
Berahino

Yeah the quality they have and situation they are in I’d doubt he’d be going back to Luton for anyone at this stage.

Jorge Grant has been recalled by Forest today too, plenty be in for his services in L1.
