Jon Von Boni is greyer than a wet weekend in Hull and he can't sing for shit anymore.

The manic street preachers would be fun to watch just to see the downfall of what used to be a respected indie band.

Surprise surprise.
Well they are that suite they can fill any arena in the world.

I for one will be going.
I hear Marillion will be busking in the car park. :)

Manic street preachers normally play in sub 2.000 stadiums

My....third?...girlfriend was a big Manics fan and a bit of a goth. The first time I saw in her bedroom, I spotted a pinned up Bon Jovi ticket at Milton Keynes Bowl from when she was about 15 and I totally ripped the piss out of her. She protested desperately that they only went to see the Manics, who were supporting, but....c'mon.....

Did you mean to put 2,000 or have you missed a zero off as they've headlined places like the Liberty Stadium in recent years as well as arena tours in 2015 and 2018.

They tend to alternate arena tours with tours of smaller places as they alternate playing the hits and playing the catalogue stuff the hardcore fans want to hear.

Good for Cov, good for the stadium owners. I like some stuff by both bands but I doubt I will go, I'd rather be somewhere with a beach at that time of the year !

I saw the Manics twice when they were touring following the release of their first two albums and they were awesome. That was 25+ years ago though and it was at a time when there was four of them. Can take them or leave them after that period, wouldn’t turn the radio off if they came on but equally wouldn’t buy/download their records after the first two albums.

Not at all surprised they’re supporting Bon Jovi as James Dean Bradfield learned guitar from copying “rock” music of his youth and they were one of the bands he copied, so I’m guessing he’s a fan on some level.

23 April 2018 – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
25 April 2018 – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
27 April 2018 – Arena Birmingham, Birmingham
28 April 2018 – Manchester Arena, Manchester
1 May 2018 – Venue Cymru Arena, Llandudno
2 May 2018 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
4 May 2018 – The SSE Arena Wembley, London
5 May 2018 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff

Some fairly large venues amongst those. First Direct Arena is 13,500. Most the others would guess are a similar size (Llandudno obviously not).

Marillion actually do play in mostly 2k venues.

Perhaps you’d like to explain why the mediocre band from Wales are performing this latest tour in a series of small venues - none that I’ve checked are sold out?

Ha ha, you didn't check very well then did you. Wouldn't want facts to get in the way of your pound shop Adrian Durham statements anyway I guess.

Actually I’ve checked 10 and none are sold out including the 1,600 capacity Corn Exchange
