Nah not having Dyer, he went on one awesome dribble from his own half that had me out of my seat! Whereas all I can remember from Lee Sawyer is multiple "spreading play" 40 yard passes out wide that flew miles away from what I suspect was their intended target and often ballooned out of play. Something Neil Wood was also awesome at!

Another gem from the same vintage of most of your side was Michael Bischoff....I think it might have been partly cos he was recovering from a bad injury that he never really did get over, but he was shocking. The French bloke on loan from Bolton, Laville, was another....

That's the positive angle. The 'worst' view is
Roy O'Donovan x11.

Nuff said.

That special evening at Bury. Who else was there?

played in the top flight for a couple of years. surely that's better than Neil wood ?
If my brother in law was picking the team then I would have too. I've never seen a player so woefully and consistently out of his depth.

I was. I was away on business so on my own. (Although you’re never alone with the SBA)!

I seem to remember there was a lot of tension in the streets afterwards? Wasn’t it during the periods when the riots were kicking off?

It was the 2011 riots. Within a week or so of the Bury game we also played Blues (loads of looting had happened in Birmingham) and Palace (Croydon was smashed up but I couldn’t tell the difference between then and any other time I’d been there).

That Palace game. 1-0 in 90 mins. Lost 2-1. Zaha ripped us apart. Long journey back after that.

Reece Brown and Callum Ball have to be worth a shout.

Brown was bad for us but nowhere near as bad as he was when he played against us. His performance in the first half for Bury during the 6-0 hammering was probably the worst by an individual I’ve ever seen.

It was only August but we all expected relegation from that point onwards. I remember Juke sinking to his knees after the 2nd had gone in. He knew that if he didn’t score the team wouldn’t and he’d need to score two every game as we couldn’t defend.

my personal favourite, even though it pains me to say it...

Oleksandr Yevtushok (who?) was signed by Premier League club Coventry City in 1997, becoming the first Ukrainian football in post-Soviet era to play in the competition.[2] In his debut, against Manchester United, he was replaced just after 30 minutes in a 1–3 loss.[3] He had two other appearances and was released after Coventry City escaped relegation on the final matchday.

I just worry that in both teams we’ll miss McNulty....

Remember when people on here were calling him McWankty??

Same people are probably now bitching about us selling him.

Thought the same thing last week. Never understood the dogs abuse he got early last season. You could tell he had the quality but was maybe trying too hard? Fast forward to his goal at Notts County in the semi and how in control he was. Hey ho, on to the next superstar!

hes somewhat of a cult hero of mine, hence his face as my avatar, needless to say his CCFC record reads as follows, L-D-L and conceding a total of 7 goals, and playing a total of about 165mins...

Wasn’t he recommended by the “overseas agent” we employed at the time?

If anyone questions how shit our players have been just tell them that Julian Gray, Danny Seabourne, Matt Heath and Gary Borrowdale all played for us and aren’t in our worst 11 of the last 15 years.

Edit: and Stuart Beavon plays for us now.
Gray wasn't that bad, had a couple of decent games

I was I finished work early that day as there was looting in Manchester and the Metrolink line was down I think in connection. I got the bus up to Bury.

We were in the side stand, first time SISU out really became a thing amongst the fans

I could be completely wrong but I think the first time I really heard it was against Northampton in a friendly.
