I’m not sure he sounded convinced about McNulty signing a new deal, the way he spoke about Bayliss sounded more positive in my opinion

I think he was positive but pragmatic i.e. if a higher level clubs meets our high valuation and he wants to progress his career we won’t stop him. Which to be fair is true of any lower league player.

It was good to hear we’ve offered a deal and MR has told him how he feels about him and what he should do. It was also a positive we’ve rejected three bids.

MR tonight
“Listen, everybody wants to play at the highest level and if a Premier League team comes in for one of the players then they are going to want to play at the highest level.

“But they have got to hit the number if our players are under contract.

“We are not in a position where we have to sell or have to sell a number of our players who performed to a really high level last season.

“Sparky knows how I feel about him and what I want to happen with him. I want him to lead the line for us again and continue his development.

“He’s a 25-year-old with a lot of time still left and who knows.

“At this stage he’s our player and our player for another two years.”

Asked if the club have had any other inquiries or bids from any other clubs other than Reading for McNulty, he said: “No.”

And asked if any clubs have made any bids or inquiries for Bayliss, he said: “No, nothing.”

Anything about the new stadium being delivered in 3 years? In all seriousness the training ground thing has gone a bit quiet also wonder what is happening on that front
