Apparently they are going to smash up the Jimmy Hill memorial garden, when They visit us.
That's the latest reference to our club.

First game of the season, Sunderland away at Coventry. Coventry win 3-1 with chants of "There's only one Gordon Milne" bellowing through the packed Ricoh Arena.

Happy (possible) dreams.

If as a couple of their idiots are saying they damage the memorial garden they will become a hated team as maybe they need to realise many other people have their ashes in there not just JH, are they also stupid enough to think that our fans are going to just let them do what they want when they come here

They're a massive club, irrespective of what we think of them. Biggest club in League 1 since Leeds (or Man City), whenever that was.

Let’s start a fans steward thread the day before they turn up and protect Jimmys statue. I’m sure a few handy old Legion lads know how to persuade them to go away after some advice lol!

That shouldn't need any of our fans to intervene, there should be enough of their on fans stopping them doing something as disgraceful as that.

Hate the bloke all you want but trying to damage the memorial garden, which of course isn't just a memorial fo Jimmy, or the statue is totally out of order.

I doubt they'll do anything . All talk . It's one thing mouthing off but another to do anything like some of them suggest. Most Sunderland fans would think such actions as disgraceful.

Remember this will be literally 1% if their fans who really give a shit about JH. Sunderland are a massive club, great history, huge support - I for one am so happy we’re in a league with clubs like this - a step in the right direction for Cov.

The only thing I think someone might try and do is to tie a sign around the JH statue's neck saying 'cheat' or suchlike.

I don’t think any of our supporters would be disrespectful enough to do such a disgusting thing, my guess is it’s one idiot just mouthing off. If one of our fans did try to damage the garden in some way then there’d be plenty of us who would be prepared to step in and stop it, but TBF if the perpetrator was booted all over the joint by City supporters then they would be getting what they deserved.
