Didn't see any of the final but fair play Notts they are the complete team all bases covered big county and well deserved title and win.

Credit to the Bears who on paper at the start of the comp i didn't expect to her out of the groups!

They look so much better than earlier in the tournament and they will blast out of the second division next year

It was a great evening to be fair, a good edgbaston evening! Notts were far superior in the end but the bears put up a good fight and a solid win against Glamorgan. We had a team on youngster through most of it so wasn't expecting anything but still sad to lose the final

A good day fir the bears not a single wicket lost, if rains for another three days we get a draw if it stops raining the trouble will start

Good battle to join the Bears in div 2.

Looks likely to be the loser of Somerset v Middlesex.

Somerset have prepared an absokutely raging turner again so will be over by tea on day 3! (Weather permitting!!)

Edgbaston’s big game itinerary 2020-2024-

• Four Test matches, including 2023 Ashes Test

• Three One-Day Internationals and three International T20s

• Edgbaston to be a host venue in the ECB’s new T20 competition starting in 2020

• Finals Day of existing Vitality Blast to be staged in each of the five summers

That’ll make a few quid!

On a side note it’ll be interesting to see how the new franchise 2020 runs alongside the exsisting comp!

Be nice if they invested in the playing squad....

With the new signings plus a fit olly stone I think we will take lots of wickets a bit worried about the batting but hopefully sam gain will come good and belly finds some form, also important that they have got pop welch back as bowling coach

Welch is brilliant I’ve heard from people that have worked with him at pro level he’s the best bowling coach around.

If he does something with OHD then we’ll know he’s the second coming of Jesus!

I was going to get a ticket for the test series v Inda this summer, but tickets were about £60 cheapest. Swear I paid much less for WI and Pakistan.

You did, cashing in on a game between the ‘big 3’ (England, Australia & India)

Starts on a Wednesday so it’ll be interesting to see how it sells at those prices!

I don't really get it. Surely they'll have to play at the existing cricket grounds? Not like in Australia where they could use AFL stadiums so could do things like having a second Melbourne team.

If you have, for example, a Midlands team and they play at Edgbaston will fans of the other Midlands county sides both or just stick with their T20 blast sides. Also if the Midlands side had star overseas players how can that not impact attendances at Edgbaston for T20 blast?

They’ve named the grounds they’re using today.

It’s going to completely demean the domestic version which it’ll only work in favour for somebody to star and then gain a contract in the ‘new league’ the following season

I don’t see how fans especially those outside the City’s names will get behind it. i.e. another Birmingham Bears fiasco.

I see it as milking the cricket fan, what pear is going to go to Edgbaston to follow that team.

The best 2020 was at the start before they realised they could milk it, short and sharp is perfect

How does that work then? You have a Birmingham team in both competitions or will Birmingham Bears now revert to Warwickshire?
