We have not put together anything like an unbeaten run all season. Think they best unbeaten run we have mustered is 4 games.

I have always been confident of at least a play-off place, but this is simply not going to be good enough if this is allowed to continue and I fear we could miss out.

No unbeaten run of any note. Then you look at Mansfield and their run of 1 defeat in 16 games.

Very worrying.

Today's result is all part of what being a Sky Blue fan is all about. Just as we think we're getting it together, we fall apart. Do not despair. It is entirely predictable that we will beat Accrington. At the moment 9 teams are jostling for the 7 places that mean promotion or play-off and I think we'll be one of those 7.

But I would say to now be challenging for promotion we need to show consistency and that's that is something we haven't shown all season.

Why would we think we can now conjure up some degree of consistency?

These home wins are great and we all feel good when we bag the three points, but we simply have to start picking up points away. It is quite ridiculous.

Just 5 away wins all season, 3 draws and 7 defeats.

You’ve mentioned this before Otis, and you’re right. Is it about our overall ability? We’re just not good enough to go on the type of run we would like to see. It could look worse, on the match thread I’ve said that we rode our luck against Swindon and Cambridge. Our performance over the season shows that we are team competing for one of the play off places. Hopefully, we’ll have enough to clinch a place.

We rely on one player to score goals. No one else contributes. When the defence has a bad day we lose.

Our attacking play is poor and has consistently been so. I hope the new guy is the answer - we shall see

And we have a keeper who has a few mares too. That just adds more pressure on us.

We started to create a lot more when Bayliss came in to the side. Seems a retrograde step now going back to Doyle and Kelly.

Absolutely nothing to do with strikers today. Same as it wasn't when Kelly was in before.

No mention of Benfica Biamou at all today ? We are back to square one , he only scores flukes or fumbled ones.

It’s exactly like MR’s first spell. However, we’ve had a run of tough games so I would’ve probably taken a draw tbf - disappointed with a loss though.

We lack that ruthless streak, we can’t go to smaller places and turn up, we just seem to adopt a different mentality which isn’t working. We have nothing in the way of attacking threat from the midfield that can chip in with the odd goal

No team would get promoted with s centre forward like biamou.

It will yin ther end cost Robins his job if he persists with him

Again, today was nothing at all to do with the strikers. They had absolutely nothing.

Half expecting Dongo to come back with his imaginary superstar that would have done everything today.

It's the teams that we are losing to that is frustrating
e.g. Forrest Green,Morecambe and Cambridge
It's ridiculous

Anyway, I don't think it's inconsistency. You just can't blame results like this on individuals, it's pure tactics:

It isn’t just this game though is it. One thing is for certain - whoever plays in midfield and out wide - biamou will not score. So he is very consistent.

Neither did mcnulty before and he wouldn't have today without the pen.

So when mcnulty has been scoring has his strike partner as well?

Sorry you could have the whole Barcelona team creating for biamou and he won’t score.

Thats wrong as he has scored 3.

It's pretty obvious that chances created and threat going forward vanishes when he changes things.

None of them had anything today and most of the games it's been Kelly and Doyle.

Just co incidence when mcnulty came into form was with bayliss in the middle, we change that and he doesn't even get a look in again.

You are sounding like Dongo. ;)

Covstu

You have to play to his strengths which means getting down the byline and putting crosses for him to attack. If we are playing it through the middle, the best you can expect is knock downs for McNulty and maybe grab the odd goal

Do you think 1 league goal for the season in February is acceptable?

So when we have corners and set pieces around the penalty area is biamou working defenders with his movement and powering goals in.

It is pretty poor, but the way you are going on you would think Dongo's imaginary striker would have come in for games like today and completely changed it.

We aren't going to make chances with 2 players stranded up front on their own miles away from everybody else, every time they attacked they had 4 or 5 getting into the box.

It's pretty much the same as a couple of months ago when McNulty was also getting stick.

Not when the set pieces are dog shit and going out for throw ins and goal kicks like they were today.

Again, your movement stuff is exactly the same as Dongo ;) Are you sure nobody passed to him because he wasn't top scorer? ;)

It isn’t because mcnulty has a track record and mcnulty is a better player. He creates chances for himself and he constantly works defenders with movement, pace and control. Defenders know he’s a threat.

Biamou offers none of the above. When he wins headers they are not directed and he doesn’t work defenders. It’s an easy 90 minutes for them. It’s notging to do with a 20 goal striker. We have a number 9 whose played most of the season and his only goal is a 25 yarder in the league.

It’s pretty obvious that if we’d signed a half decent forward for this league we’d be a top 3 side now.

Once is contract ends here biamou I can’t believe will get another professional contract in England.

Of course he is a better player, but the chances dry up for him completely also.

Aside from strikers we don't score enough, because when we attack nobody makes runs forward apart from bayliss.

When Kelly plays there's a huge gap most of the time.

We don't create enough as it is.

We don’t but even if we do we have a striker whose incapable of scoring. He’s the worst striker I’ve seen other than the odd ones who’ve played a handful of games. So he needs to go.

He probably will when jch is up to speed. He didn't get much of a sniff today either.

We need to create more, we need to commit more forward especially when chasing games.

It's ok when we are winning to sit back with negative tactics but not like today.
