I was actually quite surprised by Chesterfield, they tried to play football. They rarely went long until the end of the game and tried to play it out to their wingers who were a pain in the arse. They zipped the ball about nicely for a lot of the game.

Great result and exactly the game and results you need to go up. 3rd is as good as 1st remember. Luton bearing Lincoln was a good result.

Geoff Foster is hopeless. The most boring, basic questions you will ever hear. Transfer window opens tomorrow.. nothing. Nazon loan expires.. nothing. Trio of tossers. Linnell tells one caller that he must’ve been watching a different game to him after saying that DKE offers nothing. Hilarious.
Linnell never slags the players off, very polite & all but don't expect anything from him that might strain his relationship with the club.

Got out of the wrong side of bed today?

No, just stating at least he probably knows who they are.

You should probably stick to posting shit we knew 10 minutes before, the final score probably needs announcing.

No actual comments / thoughts on the game we just had.

Definite yellow for me and totally his own fault for the first, overreacting to Bayliss' challenge where Bayliss for booked.

Ah was it him that got booked for kicking off after that? What a twat.

Second was a clear yellow.

Mcnulty yet again bagging us points
Bayliss clearly very talented
Davies superb at the back despite 1 or 2 silly passes .

Could and should have been more but a wins a win .

Good stuff City, feels like things are on the up at the moment, and I'm not talking about that forgettable early 90s Dennis Waterman sitcom, either.

Chesterfield were short on quality to hurt us but they came to win the game and played football all the way through.
It was a really tired performance but we were better than them and deserved the win.
Thank god McNulty is ours and I hope he still is our player come February.

Yeah, that was him. Gobbing off and gobbing off and for me it looked quite an accidental challenge. He kept moaning and having a go at the ref and quite rightly got booked.

A good scrappy win. Whilst its easy to criticise some of the players you have to remember there were tired legs after so many games in a short space of time and the pitch is awful. We have struggled against the lower sides so is an important win.

Quality finish by McNulty, as a team a defended really well and Bayliss showed some class at times.

I hesitate to call it poor today... after all, we won, kept a clean sheet, and moved up to the autos... so I'll call it "scrappy" instead. But we did enough, and wouldn't have begrudged us a 2nd at the end (really should have taken at least one of those chances if we could make good decisions when going forward).

I thought Biamou worked very hard today and did a good job.

Atmosphere was dire. Pitch was even worse. At the end of the day we are now tenants so I guess we can't moan, but even the most ardent Wasps-lover can't say that this is helping us.

Chesterfield were a poor side, also not helped by the pitch, but we got what we deserved today without being massively convincing, and also without ever really being under too much threat.

Exeter game is massive, and really could do with playing them asap rather than after the Stoke match. I'd certainly take a draw.

Yeah, I thought it was a great win. Players were obviously tired.

Wiseman's 3rd red card of the season as well.

Scrappy but 3 points and thats all that counts right now with the size of the chasing pack. Personally, I dont care how we win at the moment, just need to continue to apply the pressure, the win today puts all of that on Exeter when we play them and that means teams have to then try to force the attack and that suits our game.

They passed nice for a bottom 3 but reminded me of the Thorn/Slade shite we watched, all play, no real action our threat of a goal. I dont want those days of bs football convincing yourself about possession etc

Overall, a fourth game with a small squad on heavy pitches with injuries, I will take any win from that.

I was hoping for Kelly update, new signing question....... but yes, Geoff asking ' Can anything be done about fixture list?; must be up there with most inane question of the season.

I heard the end and there was some babbling about DKE and George best.

It could only be Geoff with such a question. It was as if he was asking Robins directly if he could change the fixture congestion. The entire show is now just bizarre and the format is so dated.

They then went back to Linnell who was babbling on about what a fine goalkeeper Lee Burge has turned into and that he’d always been a fan of him. He should be sacked for such comment.

Geoff did the team news twice in as many minutes at the start of the show today. Memory lapse perhaps.

Poor comments, I hope you are a master in your job?
Have you thought that giving out the team prior to the match is important information to listeners?
Have you noticed that Lee Burge has the best record of any keeper in our division?

The Burge comment was amazing he had virtually nothing to do and hasn’t most weeks but when he has been called upon he has let us down and his distribution is appalling he is a fourth division goalie no better.

Did Geoff read out the same team twice at least that would be a bonus.

Only at the end of the season! Currently, if you are first or second and drop one place, you are still in the auto spots. If you are third and drop one place, you are in the play-offs.
How is that just as good?
