Stand up if you've never watched Wasps (7 Viewers)

I refused to criticise the poor football on display this season as it's down to Sisu not investing in a competitive team and they don't care.
The players are playing out there skin but they are not good enough to get us out this league.

Am I defending Wasps because I'm not slagging them off ?
I can't explain why Sisu moving us to Northampton helped CCFC but I can explain why moving Wasps to Coventry helped them.
I can love both CCFC and Wasps being here.
You do know you can do both?

No, you cannot do both. From a moral perspective it makes absolutely zero logical sense.

I've also seen what happens with the people who casually attend wasps having previously attended CCFC matches. They switch allegiance or just stop going to CCFC fully. A wasps dream.

You are defending wasps because you come on here having not gone on topic about football all season, and start trying to water down anyone that has an issue with wasps by trying to get them to look in the opposite direction and blame SISU. Again, a wasps dream.

Take your black and gold scarf, and fuck off.

It's the poor football that's loosing us fans.
Leicester have top level teams in both sports.
Even CRFC are getting more success since Wasps have been here.
Try again.

It's a combination of factors such as the football, the owners, and the price. Wasps capitalise on this, as they did with the stadium and have tried to recruit our fans. Why do you think they picked Coventry? It wasn't just for the stadium, it was an area where there were a lot of sports fans cast into the abyss. They are slimey motherfuckers, just like SISU. You my friend, are also no better.

Also, don't mention CRFC again. Wasps mere presence poses a threat to CRFC's existence, so you can take those remarks and shove them up your arse.

But I'd rather give up that time and see them thrive, rather that live from hand to mouth as tenants of a football club.
If you believe that Wasps could only survive hand to mouth as tenants of a football club then surely you have to acknowledge that Wasps being here and owning the Ricoh has the safe effect on CCFC.

I thought I was saying Sisu and Wasps need to work together.
I'm trying to move this forward your proposing a race to the bottom.

I see you have fell into the trap of saying people can't comment unless they talk football first.
Surely the importance is supporting the team verbally on the field and financially off it. I qualify.

Can't dispute that but both need to work together.
CCFC need to be of benefit to Wasps and that benefit needs to also benefit the football club financially.
Looking forward CCFC in the PL would be of great benefit to Wasps.
It is to Wasps benefit to assist in getting us there but it won't happen under Sisu or new owners if they are not prepared to buy in to the Stadium and its income sources.

Trying to move this forward? I don't understand why someone with absolutely no morals is trying to take the moral high ground.

Talking of traps, you've fallen into one.

Taking the moral high ground does not move anything on.
At some point we need to realise actually where we are, get over it and plan for the future.
Wasps are going nowhere so what do you suggest ?

You are trying to make the two relevant to each other. They are not.

Wasps turning up has made put their long term existence in doubt. How on earth can you try and argue against that?

So attendances rising, walking the division they have been stuck in for years, playing entertaining rugby and obtaining the Butts on a long term deal is threatening their existence ?

As their chairman has said SISU is the only threat and they won't touch them with a barge pole.

I suggest CCFC try and obtain somewhere else to play intermittently. The Butts with some sort of temporary extension would be the only solution for that, and even that is a push. The chariman of CRFC would need to be onside. The thing is, unless both parties join up and try to beat wasps, both clubs face extinction in the future.

Play them at their own game. Financial survival for Wasps will be much harder without CCFC paying them rent. Squeeze the bastards, let them die. Then take the stadium from a sports team who have had to move out of the city to ensure their survival.

Full circle motherfucker.

You're @bargepole aren't you?

You've just furthered the argument that you are only here to defend wasps, not that it needed furthering.

Again, your argument is nonsense. It's damn fucking cheeky for you to try and put it that way too. CRFC are having a good season. Nothing to do with Wasps positively.

You are a complete disgrace and when wasps fuck off, I hope you go with them.

Move the club to the Butts ?
Get the Chairman on their side ?
Squeeze ACL like the Northampton move ?
Take over the financial running of the Ricoh ?
:wtf:
Nothing then ?

Never said it was due to Wasps.
It was you that said Wasps were threatening their existence,
Understand your pain but we need to move this on.

Won' be the Butts that is the arguement.
They have said more then once they will not deal with CCFC while Sisu are here.
Honestly there is nowhere local bar Nuneaton that we could go to, there stadium is not to standard and they already share with a Rugby club.

Other wise it is the Birmingham side of town we would have to share with.
Ether way we are doomed.

You've only dismissed that because you know wasps are vulnerable.

I cannot wait for the day it goes tits up.

You want to move this on because you know how morally wrong it all is, and you want to make people look in a different direction.

If they go tits up we will have to find a new stadium.
If Wasps are struggling CCFC would certainly be from League 2.
How could we take on all the stadium costs with our support ?
I suggest Wasps are subsidising us at the moment.

Or if your struggling with that it's "cutting your nose off to spite your face"

Nothing will happen until Sisu go. At which point CCFC will rise again quickly.

Seems dead simple to me - you either believe that (a) clubs are rooted in a particular area and should stay there or (b) you say clubs can move wherever they like. If you believe in (a) you oppose CCFC going to Nton and Wasps coming to Cov. If you believe (b) then it's fine for Wasps to move here and sisu can move CCFC wherever they want.

I understand business reasoning.
If CCFC move they are finished. That's the difference.

People seem to come up with all sorts of justifications for why either it was wrong for CCFC to go to Nton but ok for wasps to come here, or why it was wrong for wasps to come here but ok for ccfc to go to nton. As I said, seems simple to me - clubs are rooted in a place or they are US style mobile franchises. If someone is ok with the latter then they'll be fine with wasps in cov but they then can't complain if other clubs also move

I will complain if it puts my club at risk.
Rest assured if CCFC move outside Coventry crowds will spiral down worst than before.

The may have done previously,

Perhaps not now that your mates in the black and gold are here. At least if one is fucked you have the other I suppose.

It's relevant because you mention 'regardless of who is at fault here'.
Therefore, whose fault is it that we find ourselves in Division 2 ? Which in reality is all we care about.

That’s not the reality that I currently care about as EVERYONE (maybe bar RFC) knows who is responsible for us being in L2.

To keep you happy, there’s a multitude of people/groups responsible for us being in L2. Mainly SISU. However I (and it’s my opinion) believe that you can add B.Richardson, McGinnity, CCC, Ranson, Countless managers and a vanishing fan base as all party to our path to League 2. There’s probably others that I have missed. But mainly SISU. There, I hope that addresses your concerns over my post.

I agree with you here Italia...SISU are the main pricks responsible for us being in L2.

Going back to the main point of my original post, regardless of who is at fault (see above to satisfy your query on my post), I STILL find it incredulous that some on here are fine with Wasps being here (a hedge fund PERMANENTLY moving a club from their roots) whilst moaning rightfully about Cov moving to Northampton (where a hedge fund temporarily moved a club from a ground built for them).

How can some not see the irony in that?!

That some moaned about us moving to Northampton but are fine with Wasps being here on the basis that it was good business sense for them/they want to watch rugby/serves SISU right/they offer a better match day experience, is simply ludicrous.

Lol. Never going to happen, especially not with the bonds. Can't see any decent owner even considering us now wasps own and have loaded the stadium with debt. Wasps being here have changed our future doe ever. At least you're happy.

I can go live with that.

Both moved for business reasons.
Sisu to get the Ricoh cheap and 'maybe' help CCFC
Wasps to get a permanent home and not rely solely on ticket revenues.
One did it properly the other over did it.
