I totally agree with everything CUS is saying, there is NO atmosphere at the Ricoh, SOC did well in organising the Southampton game protest, but 500 out of allegedly 9,000 attended it? Why? Are we honestly saying that roughly only 1 in 10 City fans want SISU out?
And as for people saying they didnt want to miss the first 15 minutes cos they "back the team"....... come off it, we went one nil up and didnt even hear a thing outside! No singing no cheering. If you cant be arsed to attend the well organised protests etc because you "back the boys" then actually back them! Sing, create an atmosphere!
Its devastating whats happened to our club, and will only get worse with Thorn / SISU in charge.

Jason roberts who just left blackburn recently said of kean at the week end that he is saying what he is told to say not what he really thinks. A bit like thorn really as they both will struggle to get a managers job again if they stand their ground and say what they really think of the owners
But apart from one season its not happened in the championship so why will it change in League 1.

There is passion in the support and to hear you say that you couldn't hear the cheers when we scored against Southampton is pure waffle me thinks.
The problem is, as many have said already, that we have been served shite for so many years that our expectations are low, rock bottom in fact. We don't expect anything and probably don't any longer feel we deserve anything. The majority of people who sit in the Tesco stand are families, old and young, male and female, and not your standard chanting singing brigade, and they make up the majority of our crowd. The atmosphere is piss poor and has been for a long time, but I'm not being funny, what is there to be excited about. On the odd occassion, like against Middlesborough, we play alright (it took a sending off tho) and the crowd was electric that day. More of those types of occassions and the stay aways would come back and the ground will fill up. We could then augment the hard core chanting type and it would get louder and more exciting atmosphere. But for now it aint going to change, in fact its going to get worse, but dont say that we dont have passion.......
Don't have a go at those who do go and support, I feel passionate about Coventry and don't take well to someone telling me I'm not passionate enough. I love CCFC and will have a season ticket next year whatever league. The problem is in those that dont go, who's passion has been destroyed by years of mismanagement and abuse, by poor football and a declining state of affairs. And more by the looks of it from this thread are having their passion destroyed enough to say they are not coming back and I don't blame them, although won't be following their example. the issue is not those that go, as they all support in their own way, and if that passion extends to protesting then so be it, its those that cannot go any longer because they would rather spend their money on something that interests or excites them.
I do wish we would cheer more, but having attended with mates who have season tickets at Watford and Charlton, can on evidence declare that we are not alone in this fact, indeed I think we are positively vibrant compared to some of our competitors around the land.

Let see you run on the pitch in protest and see what fight you have ,by the way i think the £400 to £600 fine deters most of us. Sisu are not going to sack Thorn. As if they do they have to pay the remainder of his contract . I seen more managers come and go but it only a short term gain. We got no money no owners who want to invest so it will only lead to on thing sadly another relegation. If people renew there season tickets next season after watching the dross of this then they must need there head looking at.

Letter sent from Owners saying Steve Kean will do all transfer dealings,Chairman forced out, CEO forced out, finacial director forced out. Some people say we arnt owned by Venkys and a certain pesron tried it on at Man City while Shinawatra was there. This person has threatened the local press with legal action.

If Thorn is still in a job next season, I can see after we've just beatan the footballing giant, that is Exeter at home, and got a draw at equally massive club Shrewsbury, all the pro Thorn posters shouting at full voice,"told you he was a good manager".
If Thorn stays this argument of ,he' a good manager, he's a bad manager, won't go away until we are back in the Championship. How long it could take us to get back, is what scares me. I have clearly said in previous posts that i don't want Thorn to be our manager, but i have also said i want him kept as a scout. But if Thorn goes and Harrison stays then nothing will change, keep thorn as chief scout, which he has shown to be good at.
All i am saying, it looks certain we are going to be relegated,so what have we got to lose by giving someone else a go.
There are 48 managers in the two divisions below us, most could'nt cope with the expectation at Cov , but there are managers like Robinson at MK Dons who's young and plays very good football, who i feel would come to us on Thorns wages.
By getting rid of Harrison, and moving Thorn back to scout, and putting him back on his scout wages, fantastic SISU would save Harrisons wages + Thorns reduction on getting in Robinson, who is a manager and could work better with the players we have, as i presume we have better players than MK Dons as we're in a higher league

The problem is, by giving the bloke so much venom from the stands (deserved or not), you've turned him into something of a martyr for the Venky's bunch and the press. As a result, the media have focussed on drumming sympathy up for him for the scale of the protests than concentrating on why the protests're happening.

MK Dons are a bigger and more attractive club at the moment, Rev. Robinson is there for the long haul. I wouldn't be surprised if we were one of the Championship clubs Smith said he rejected, instead choosing to go there. They have ambition. We certainly don't under SISU!

In my previous life before i came here i was a British Gas service engineer for many many years , and my depot was at Milton Keynes,(Newton Longueville to be precise), so i know the area and people generally quite well, and i believe it will take decades for the football club to build up its support to our sort of potential.
We called it ,and is known generally as the London overspill, and every other house was full of Londoners/Cockneys who already support London clubs, mostly West Ham & Spurs & Arsenal/Chelsea and the other in the city and its surrounding area, and they would never think of supporting MK Dons ever, so this support base needs to be grown from its core now of 8-10 0000 max amongst the young in the town, which you can imagine will take years if not decades to reach our potential.
That is if the youngsters parents let them start to support MK in the first place, as like most fathers you try your hardest to make your son's and daughters support the clubs they support.
I have mates who go to Mk and they love the football Robinson is playing and if you saw the cup game with QPR the other week you would have been very impressed.
All i am saying, in this case Robinson would jump at managing us, and this is just one case.
I am certainly no know all, and i'm wrong more than i'm right, but i believe there are managers out there, who would take us on at the same wage as Thorn.
Do MK Dons have ambition, Yes, but do they have our Potential, i don't think they do for the forseeable future.

Not with a zero cash transfer kitty and a mission statement of "reduce all costs regardless of consequence". Managers like to build, but there is no prospect of that whatsoever at CCFC under SISU. Even Phil Brown would want to know what his transfer budget is, and when told "minus 2.5m", he'd probably walk out of the interview!

I agree a lot of managers would'nt want to come to us, but i disagree, apart from both Sheffield clubs and maybe Charlton all the other managers below us would jump at taking us on, and would work with the sqaud we have now, and on Thorns wages.
Why !!, i believe strongly that we have huge Potential, and that word Potential would bring them here alone.
I believe our team is good enough , just , to be mid table in the Championship, and with a manager with mangerial experience, like Robinson, he could do better with our players than Thorn is doing.

Am sad to admit it but have not been up for a while. Can't stand the thought of giving any more money to SISU, knowing full well they are running the club into the ground. They are just bleeding us dry!!

Hang on a second. A football club is a business, any business owner wants to turn a profit. I don't see a problem with this. One day the Glaziers are going to want their money back from Man Utd and then there will be a meltdown there. Until footballers are payed at a sustainable level, then clubs like ours will be going pop all over the football league. SISU may want to take the cash back that has come out of their pockets and that's fair enough. I think that they may actually care about their investment and may be looking to turn us into a profitable business. They will have a business plan for this guys. The one thing that sticks out in my mind is that they can't get any return on their investment if they own a football club that does not own it's ground and plies it's trade in league 1. They may well be dismantling the business to rebuild it and lets be honest, having achieved nothing in the past 40 years this business definitely needs dismantling.

Do huddersfield have a better squad than us, !! i presume we have better players and they never spend a lot of money. Hes has been there some time now and has grown that team into what it is now and has gained a lot of experience doing it.
What might stop him is if he's on more money than Thorn, but no-one knows what he gats so this is just conjecture, but he can't be on a lot more

Huddersfield have a comfortably better squad than ours, and a higher wage budget I would imagine! Try having a look at the money they've spent last few years. It's because they have, in Lee Clark's own words, a "brilliant owner".
They also have more history than us, if we're honest.
Rev you hold this squad in higher esteem than most of us: we haven't been mid-table for years, lost our 4 best players after finishing 17th, haven't replaced numerous other squad players..and you expect mid-table at least? Don't you think that's a bit unrealistic?

How do they have more history then us? We were a top flight club for over 30 years... When was the last time Huddersfield were top flight team?

I must admit, I do rate Huddersfield and they also have a decent stadium but what Clarke has there is an owner who will be behind him and put money in. I wouldn't fancy our chances this season against Huddersfield in a game either. I think they have won the FA cup 2 or 3 times also.
They have Jordan Rhodes, we have Cody McDonald.
