On trial and just got an assist for the U23's

Was on loan for Yeovil and with Swansea's youth team. Played against us in the Checkatrade!

He looks like Richard Duffy's little brother, we signed him from Swansea as well didn't we

Richard Duffy came from Pompey.

Re Jones, 27 EPL2 games last season, 11 goals and 3 assists.

See how many George Thomas gets this year and compare :)

They (Swansea U23's) won promotion to Division 1 last season and this lad seems to of been amongst the goals.

Jones spent some time at Wycombe as well this pre-season and seem to of impressed, I wonder why he wasn't offered a deal? Wales U21 International, can imagine Cian Harries would have been influential in this.

Yet MR said ' end of signings' ?
Expecting Stevenson and Willis to go on the back of MR's recent comments, but we are starting to look like we have a shed load of forwards all of a sudden... (oh, back from Italy and well happy with the 6 points whilst away!) PUSB

Well that's the thing. No more signings, but if someone has come in for, or is very much showing interest in one of our players, it would be more than prudent to look at potential replacements wouldn't it.

Will probably be for the U23's.

Why those 2? I expect it will be Cook and possibly Thomas maybe on loans. I don't expect him to sell anyone unless we get a good offer.

He was on trial at Yeovil too.

Wycombe Fan :

"
Owain Jones, the trialist winger we had, played for Yeovil today in their friendly against Frome.

Shame if we've let him go as I thought he looked very good in the Slough game."

Played in attacking midfield today behind JP and Kwame. Looked fairly comfortable on the ball. Made a couple of decent runs that weren't picked up quick enough.

From Nicky Eadon's comments today I suspect he won't be offered a contract
Almost all clubs operate on the basis that any trialist needs to be head and shoulders above guys who are already at the club in the same position.
Some players refuse to go on trial for that reason

It's pronounced "oh wine". He is a very good player, I used to work with his dad so have seen his progress through swansea's youth set up. He can play anywhere across the front but his best positions for me are either up top or on the right cutting in. He would be an asset for us for sure, I would go as far as to say he is at least on a par with Jodi jones just a lot stronger.

Worth a punt.

Agree re RCC. but would anyone take Kwame until he can prove he can stay fit? Also wonder if one of the Kelly Evans may be loaned out if Willis stays? Overall, think it will be Willis to go due to £££s in bank, plus reduction in wage bill.

I went today and I must admit he looked quite a good player for the first 20 mins when he were on, clever feet a lil bit of pace about him he slotted in just behind Thomas and ponti.

Then he played a stray pass which went to a Bolton player and had a chance through on goal where he should of shot but tryed tricking the defender and lost the ball, the expression on his face were like he blew his chance of getting a deal.

Trailists I believe need a length of time at a club to gain confidence to show there true ability seems to much pressure on them to impress to look world beaters when there with clubs for a week or 1 game.

Depends whether Robins sees a long term future for Kwame at the club. If the answer is yes then we might benefit in sending him out on loan to a Conference side to get fit for a few months but because of his injury record and the level we would be loaning him too then we would have to pay 100% of his wages.

Who is Ian Jones?

And yes, in Wales "Owain" is pronounced "Oh-wine"
