I don't understand how the likes of Leeds are allowed 6000 to come to us, but wont let Millwall even bring over 3000... Is it because we cant afford the police anymore? Either way its one game I am looking forward too!

The worst fans I ever saw at HR were Leeds.

They have one of the lowest away averages in the league. If they've sold 1900 anyway are really that many more gonna travel? There biggest away following since Xmas was only 1700 and that was a derby match against Colchester. Took only 1200 to Swindon a few weeks back and only 700 to Walsall.

Yeah but as someone else said this is their big away day. Remember them bringing 4000 to HR a few years back !

They can only get tickets if they are signed up members and registered to do so. They also get a restricted number of tickets due to the police. Their support in general is a lot better than ours

How can their support be better than ours? If they have sold 1900 to members for our game then why did they only sell 1200 at Swindon and 700 at Walsall. We have the highest average away attendance in the league, they are 15th.

No idea? Maybe it was due to the maximum allocation allowed in line with the stadium's overall capacity. If they weren't constrained by the members restriction their away atendances would higher.

Not sure how youve worked Colchester out as being a derby for them?

Correct, Colchester isn't even in London - it is however the nearest game (along with Gillingham) to us this season, It's a very Northern league.

The 1,700 at Colchester and the 1,200 at Swindon was all we were offered, considering we only get 10,000 ish at home to be taking 2,000 away aint too shabby.

We are on the 9.46 out of Euston and into Coventry at 11, any pubs you would recommend?

Thank you breadbin, pretty sure there will be a big OB presence everywhere, we always have the Met police that travel with us to every away game.

Plenty of overtime for them!!!

I hope not, you played us off the pitch, we couldn't handle Armstrong. We were all thinking that we needed a proper manager like Mowbray, at the time Neil Harris was struggling with how he wanted us to play and rookie mistakes as we are his first managerial job.

Not too surprised that we have turned the corner but amazed the way you have fallen apart. One of the best teams at The Den this season

What do you expect the club to say? Come along, ignore police advice and come and sit in our end.

It's on the police advice that a couple of hundred Millwall fans will end up in the home end instead.

Yes you looked like you had little idea defensively (players uncertain of positioning etc) and you should have gone 1 up with the penalty. Now the tables are turned and you seem to be playing as a team and playing good football. Good luck (after Saturday) in the playoffs....like us you are a championship team...unlike us you may well play there next season

I doubt it will be that many. Club have only been selling tickets for this game if u have a previous purchase history. the club tweeted earlier that a procedure will be in place on the cash turnstiles, didn't say what though. I guess a small handful might get in but it wont be a couple of hundred, just all hype and forum talk

I'm a s/t holder but trying to buy tickets for a friend. When I click choose seats online it just says error. A site error or is it that I can't buy tickets online now?

Imagine going into a shop to buy milk and they tell you "sorry, I can't sell you milk as you've never bought it here before". Or "sorry, but we've sold enough bottles already". An insane way to run a business.

A couple of hundred is probably at bit much would of thought 30-50 but that's still to many and only takes a few to start trouble especially against our well hard bunch of 50 teenagers in block 15

Don't other clubs do it in situations like this?

And if now and then someone smashed that bottle over your head, wouldn't you want to put something in place to know who your selling too??? They are restricted for a reason.

Most clubs would make "high risk" [sic] matches all-ticket, and not fanny around with mixed messages like ticket-only for singers' corner, with most people knowing full well there is nothing to stop you moving wherever you want.
If it's all-ticket, by all means make it a condition that everyone has a previous purchase history, rather than having a load of Wall trying to memorise CV postcodes and mimicking our exceedingly rare accent )

It's not like making it all ticket is going to knock the gate figures. The dismal second half of the season has seen to that

West Mids now saying any Wall who travel without tickets will be asked to leave Coventry, surely its a free country and that would be classed as discrimination?

Club have said police and the club's safety group had a meeting and decided only 1900. Millwall requested more tickets, CCFC were up for providing them and both groups put a stop to it.

Should of gave them the additional 500 and locked them in afterwards as end of the day if they want to kick off they will but tbf they have been very quiet away from home this season.

I doubt it. There are a lot of special public order controls connected to the Football (Offences) Act 1991. Attempting to access the wrong area of the ground is one such arrestable offence, so I don't know why there are anecdotal reports of Millwall fans having bought home tickets at the Ricoh then asking to be moved to the away end.

Alot are saying that is exactly what they will do, ask to be moved to the away end if found to be in the home section.

Their fans group has highlighted all the legal requirements online for fans to view and print off, also adding football solicitors for any who may require one for one reason or another should they be arrested within Coventry.

Nice to see they are prepared.

I look for a nice pub, somewhere to eat.

Yes that would be nice, but we will be met by riot cops as soon as we get off the train, have a camera shoved in your face, pushed around and told where you can and can't go. Strangely plod seem a bit surprised when people get pissed off and it kicks off!

Notts police have it right, whenever we play Forest away, it's all low key, they let you know they are about, but from a distance - not right in your face. Fairly friendly and hey presto there's no trouble at all, before or after. Not that difficult. Unfortunatley most OB actually want it to kick off, as per your fan that has finally won his case against them.

Imaging if the police treated muslims or any other group of people the way they treat football fans.

Strangely never had that issue for no reason.

If I wasn't doing anything wrong, I wouldn't have solicitors on speed dial.

There is no doubt Millwall fans have been shat on here.....its almost like the police have set them up to fail....

They should have been allowed a far larger allocation & then, if necessary, locked in for a while after the game just to let the miserable 9k cov fans depart to drown their sorrows.....again....

.....could launch a few conspiracy theories here, but I won't.....

....yet:)

Mmmm, I wonder why anyone would need CCTV in holding cells and solicitors if they wasn't doing anything wrong??
