Yeah. You aren't immune from that. Maybe you should link the thread when I said TM was a league one standard manager when he signed full time pre season and you spitting your dummy out calling me every idiot under the sun. IIRC you even insisted he's a premier league standard manager and I didn't know what I was talking about.

Funny how I didn't overhype him and think that overall he's doing a good job and any talk of him getting sacked is idiotic yet you did exactly what what people you're now mocking on the thread you've linked did and over hyped him and now you're leading the call to jump ship while saying he's not even league one standard and have given him four games to prove otherwise. How the worm has turned. You've got more faces than a clock tower.

I am very happy with him. We must halt this slide though.

We lose 6 or 7 in a row or have no wins in 10 games, then the mood will very much change.

Some would be very happy to have another target to go on the attack.

I have only just signed up to this site and I was going to start my own thread about Mowbray. However someone has done it for me... First of all I would like to point out that since Mowbray has been with us he has made a lot of decisions that I applaud and I genuinely thank him for turning us around. However we are now at a stage in our season were if we continue to lose games we are going to struggle to make the playoffs. If we make the playoffs we don't go up that's a fact. WE have not been big game players for 10 years. automatic is our only chance otherwise we rot in league one for a few more years waiting for the right loan signings to come back.

He has made one mistake since he has been in charge and that my friends is BIGI.

BIGI is the worst player in our team without doubt. For all those that question me, have a look at the stats for when bigi has started or featured. yes hes a cov lad and you all rim him, but after spending most of my morning questioning why Im a Coventry fan after some of your ridiculous threads and comments I wouldn't be surprised if this turned a few backs up. Some of you however make very valid and genuine points and have clearly played/understand football rather than 50% of you that turned out for Christ the king under 14s and won a summer tournament (also had trials for cov and arsenal).

My point is, Bigi needs to go and so does Mowbray if this slide continues. we need someone whos going to get a reaction from the players.

I look forward to many of you trying to justify any different.

I think the onus is on you to justify an 11th manager in 8 years.

Who's up next to get one season at turning the club around?

This is one of the most ridiculous threads I have read in a long time - what utter nonsense. Tony Mowbray has raised our profile incredibly. When was the last time we were sat in the top 6 for this length of time?!?!?!

I genuinely hope im wrong, I would love us to go up more than anything. Mowbray is a good guy. I just think this season could be the only year for us to get up for a while. The likes of Armstrong, murphy and kent on loan doesn't happen all of the time. It may be interesting to see what Mowbray could do in the summer if we did stay in league one this season. Very valid point, he does need to be given time, but in two months time if we are still heading in the direction we are going in I would be interested to see your posts then.
Yes BIGI is the key problem for our form.

God some of our "fans" are utter twats......

....and I appreciate I have added nothing but a lazy insult to the debate, but FFS......calling for TM to be sacked while we sit in a playoff place?

Really?

My point is still there... Looking for a manager to come in and get a reaction. Anything to boost our promotion chances. I may be too harsh but we all know that 8/10 a new manager coming in gets results. Like ive stated it will be interesting to see what happens in two months time when everyone claims he shpuld have gone when the slump started.

Your points are all over the place. Sack him, give him time, now sack him again.

It's a proven fact that our constant firing of managers hasn't worked.

But I'll play along. Who would you like to replace him with ?

or, IMHO, the more likely scenario is we can drag up threads like this and chuckle at the fickle impatient folks when TM has turned this poor run around & we are back to breathing down the necks of the leaders.....

Have to be entertained by some of the opinions on here.

In 1964 we went from 11th January to 27th March without winning a league game - that was a run of 11 games. Extending it to the end of March saw a total run of 1 win in 14.

No doubt the experts on this site would have had the manager sacked for such an awful downturn after a good start to the season.

Perhaps they're right, maybe if we'd got rid of the bloke (I think his name was Jimmy Hill) we might have seen some success in the 60's.

The title of this thread and the Mowbray out brigade need to have a long look at themselves,If we lost him Clapham and Venus who are all good football men think it would definitely be endless obscurity.

picking and choosing points from my comments. Ive stated that I genuinely hope im wrong. people are entitled to there own opinions? this is what forums are for, to discuss a common interest.

Okay, if the run can be halted then I agree that Mowbray is the right man for the job. If we get to the playoffs then its a massive improvement for us on last season and im sure Mowbray will bring in good editions. But we all know that loanees like Armstrong kent and murphy don't come around very often. Bigi is a prime example of this. Its clear to see ive offended some people with my comments however im happy to stand by Mowbray, I was just curious of other peoples thoughts on the impact of a new manager as I feel that this year could be the year to get promoted.

Please can I have some feedback on BIGI.

Although all managers are doomed to inevitable failure...

The next manager, we'll be hailing his passion, and the way he sets up a defence to be super-organised, and how much we've been crying out for a big lummox up front.

And it's not just sitting in a play off spot is it. It's sitting in a play off spot compared to where we were and what we had become accustomed to. I'm genuinely shocked some people feel like this.

The only reason we have promotion chances is Tony Mowbray. Jesus, give me strength

1- On your logic there's no point getting the play-offs as we will lose 'fact'
2- The only reason we are able to bring in the likes of Armstrong,Kent,Murphy is TM and the standing and respect he commands within the game.

Although all managers are doomed to inevitable failure....

...then get hired somewhere else before 'failing' again.

Impatience has become a culture. It's a shitty part of the game that obviously doesn't work. Otherwise it wouldn't be repeated ad nauseam.

Really cant believe getting rid of TM is being suggested. Performances haven't been great but we were picking up points. This is the bad spell, we have lost 3 on the bounce and still 5th. I think a little bit of success has gone to some heads, there always going to be a proper bad spell, all teams have them

It is a young side put together on a shoe string by a management team that try to play the right way. Young lads run out of steam, need to recharge go again. There are obvious gaps in the squad if we can see them then you would have to think he can its his job to isn't it, but that's very different to being able to get someone in that matches the team and its finances - that is far harder. When you look at some of the dross we have had in other seasons on the pitch or running it to be calling for his head after 3 losses frankly beggars belief.

Start of the season I thought top 10 would be a decent improvement. Up until Xmas we were spoilt and punching above our weight, but happy days

Bad news everyone. Pep has apparently signed on at Man City from the summer so we've lost the number one choice as a replacement for TM. Looks like Jose is back in the frame. He better pull that love letter to the sky blue faithful out the bin, he's in with a shot again.

I honestly think most of the people calling for his head are people who were lost to the club. Relative success has bought them back to the fold, but only continued success will keep them coming. Sad really

Oh dear. Your attempts at humour are lame in the extreme.
