Lets hope they didn't gamble their funds away! Any idea on who the investors were?

I kinda agree OSB. Like I implied, maybe the plan was to put everything they have on the roulette, and if it came off, place a bid straight away?

They were obviously wearing badges such as "I'm An Investor" and "I'm With Mr Coventry".

BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY WERE INVESTORS? They could easily just be non-football related guests of Hoffman.

Then I have an answer when people give me crap for shouting SISU OUT and ask me "But who in?" Time to dust off the old SISU OUT/HOFF IN! banner, methinks-the first anti-SISU banner ever shown at a City game, I'm proud to say :D

yes we need to spread the word now.

there are investors waiting in the wings to take over the club.

if sisu are fed up of losing money then they need to get talking as the quicker they fuck off the quicker they will stop losing it and the quicker that happens the more chance the new lot will have of trying to keep us up as they will actaully sign players.

The Blackburn fans forum raised the £1,200 needed in one evening. We can match that!

Ever since Hoff said his consortium were waiting for administration I've wanted us to go into administration. If a deal can still be struck so that that doesn't have to happen then great.

Anything other than watching the club have its heart and soul ripped out - we're even starting to lose some of our die hard supporters now.

Presumably unless we go into admin, SISU will continue to refuse to deal with Hoff and his investors. Didn't the Orange One say a few weeks ago that he had some alternative investors lined up? Strangely enough he hasn't said much about that lately...

What I will never understand is how SISU expect this approach to be a success. I don't get what they are trying to do, and the blustery Mail interview with Ken where he claimed to be "very close" to having the cash to buy half of the stadium was laughably bullshit. So was his statement on the official site yesterday. But what do they hope to achieve with all this posturing? Is it all a bid to hike the price up? How much do they want to go away, as they are clearly not prepared to put any more money in-they must want out, as all they can do is lose money if they stay? Yet they talk as if they are going nowhere fast, which is certainly true of the club as a whole as long as they remain it's negligent custodians.

I hope they now realise that their gamble of Thorn working a miracle on a shoestring budget has failed, and that they need to get out. I hope they will now be prepared to come to the negotiating table with a clearer sense of perspective-they do not, by any means, "hold all the cards". If anyones balls should be in a vice, it's theirs. But they have "balls of steel", remember, and I fear that they will somehow try to wrangle an unrealistic deal for themselves and negotiations will break down once again.

I don't think they do expect their strategy to be a success. Like you said they were just hoping for a miracle from Thorn. Trouble is they don't have any football brain at board level telling them it's not possible.

There's evidently no sort of relationship between board and manager either - Thorn says he's put in a request for a player and is waiting to see what they say. He sounded like Oliver Twist.

I'm guessing he can only persuade his investors to put in a certain amount. If I were looking to invest in a football club and wasn't a City fan, knowing what I know I'd avoid CCFC like the plague. It's a cursed club!

problem for Hoff is unless he comes in and buys a team capable of success and gets hold at least part of the Ricoh he'll end up as unpopular as SISU after an initial honeymoon period.
