If he doesn't, what happens with hotel fees and training and stuff? Send him an invoice :)

Brilliant no nonsense stuff again from TM....

TM doesn't strike me as the sort of person who will stand for being messed around by players and their agents. He's said before there's plenty of players out there so if he doesn't get this guy he'll just move on to his next target.

We will obviously pay it. It's like if you travel anywhere for a job interview, the company will (most of the time, anyway) cough up to cover travel costs etc.

Equally if your company spends money training you and you bugger off they can claim it back off you. Think there has to be a balance. If he's here for a few days for TM to have a look then fair enough we pay. If he gets offered a contract and then changes his mind why should the club cover his expenses out of the limited budget?

Yes agreed. But the point still stands that TM wanted to have a look at him in the first place (I'm assuming that was the case, not knowing the in's and out's) and it's still Lorentzson's prerogative to say thanks but no thanks. I'm not sure TM would want to burn bridges by then reneging on expenses, unless the budget really is that tight.

Too much interference from agents, not enough prestige for his missus. The two stumbling blocks.

If he signs, I'll be surprised. Shame, considering he could add some quality to the RB position.

It's been a couple of days now, I wonder if any talks are going on or not :(

Doesn't look promising, TM has had a tit-full of interfering agents and the lad is indecisive.

Oh well, I'm sure TM has his eyes on another possible target.

Was supposed to be 48hrs to decide, no news so I guess no deal. Hence Rose interest?

It's good that we are negotiating from a position of strength. We have no urgent need for this RB so if he wants to come and join the party then great, but if not then we move on to the next target...

Re: Rose, do we think Tony Mowbray is covering his back with regards potentially losing Fleck at the end of the year, or perhaps he is stalling on signing a new deal etc?

I doubt we'd wanna listen to their smarmy, double-talking lies though. It'd give me Hulk rage, probably.

I got impression it was Martin Lorensons wife that wasn't so hot on idea of moving over here.

I would hope not, but possible. He should be looking to tie down Fleck, Willis & O'Brien for another year in my opinion.

Regarding John Fleck I think it is pretty clear TM is looking to improve there hence Bigiriama joining, Fleck has played well this season but is prone to vital errors as we saw last match

No not by the club but he's spoken to the Swedish journalists, here's a rough translation:

Martin Lorentzson, 31, has decided. He moves to the English Coventry City.
It has been in the pipeline for a while. Now, the deal is in port. Högerbacken Martin Lorentzson has written on a sjumånaderskontrakt with the League One club Coventry City, writes fotbolldirekt.see.

– I go there on Sunday. It feels exciting. It went very well during the provspelet and the coach liked my style of play so he wanted to have me there, " says 31-year-old to the site.

Ruben Lameiras, who Lorentzson played with for the entire corporation FF, is already available in Coventry.

– It was lovely very have a face, that I felt again when I was there at the trial. He picked me up in the mornings with his car and he drove me home after the training sessions. So it is fun of course, " says the swede to fotbolldirekt.see.

Lorentzson can think of to stay in Coventry next season.

– I'm in the club and they enjoy being with me so it would be fun to be around longer. We are the second now so it may well be Championship next season, which would be awesome, " he says to fotbolldirekt.see.
