1 - My birthday is in November. 2 - I don't live in Coventry.
Two very good reasons to be cheerful.

I suppose if you supported say 30 yrs... You've at least had something to celebrate... Feel sorry for the poor fuckers that have only supported 11/12 years...

I can remember rolling up every week to watch teams like Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal. (Since 1967 for those that have forgot :) )
We also on many an occasion gave them a good game.
I feel sorry for those that have only been coming since say 2000 who have to watch this awful platter and have never seen us at our prime.
Wonder how many of the stay away fans are of my era who can't stomach it and prefer to live on their memories.

Most weeks, you can get a good pint of Smiths at the Casino, and which I expect will be more the highlight of the matchday experience this year.

Oh, hold on, the casino no longer sells draft bitter...

Perhaps try behind Block 17 where the Purity Ale bar is for your fix? :D

I'm on holiday, about to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and I'm going to see Noel Gallagher on Sunday night. Bosh.

Oh...Coventry City related....erm, Noel supports a team who also play in Sky Blue.

Why is it so common that people have to put how long they have supported the club for?

Do people who have supported for so long not see that we are in League 1 and want us to be signing Robbie Keane type players?

Genuine Question.
The last thing I want to sound is an old fart but it is important to remember that in those days we provided a tradition. A very British tradition and that was although hopelessly outclassed at times we compensated with guts, pride and we always did so by trying to play the game. You would have backed us against anyone if the price to pay was to lose our top flight status. The result was that the team made us proud. Our pride in the shirt surpassed our ability in those days.
The most tragic event to befall the club is the purchase of journeymen with ability and no pride in the badge. I for one would rather have a car mechanic with a total commitment to the city and its traditions and limited ability.
Supporters like me can fully appreciate the club's fall. What I cannot accept is footballers on considerably more money than me who couldn't care less.

George Hudson is still alive and I hear they are making medical progress on rejuvenation.

I'm going to see Noel Gallagher tonight. That's positive. The weather looks like a mixed bag. Not so positive.

We can look forward to a better strip next season because it can't possibly be worse.
