This translated from a Danish journalist on twitter:

Victor Torp has gone through a wild development in the Eliteserien, and this means that Coventry now buys him for DKK 19 million in Sarpsborg. The personal relationships are also coming into place, and then he gets his big move to the Championship.

Again I sorta hope we’re looking at slightly better than a 5’9 unknown midfielder from a mid-table Norwegian league team. Yeah fair enough he could be anything but can’t help but think we need proper class in that CM, not some Denmark U21’s player that’s basically only ever had loan spells at random teams no one’s ever heard of.

Just watched a 5 min video on YouTube. I love him already. Looks like a deep lying playmaker who can also run with it and get into the box as well with late runs. And the best bit is it’s only about an hour after Gimoc said no one was on our radar

Ah yes just like Hamer before he joined. What an odd comment.

Could sign a former Dutch U20 international from a struggling Eredivisie team insteaad.

He meant to say no one is on our radar, apart from Victor Torp. He just hit send too early.

You could be describing Hamer or Sakamoto perfectly with this post. We'll get much more value from abroad. Looks like smart work to me.

Unknown to you and the average football fan (including myself). Which, as this thread shows, mostly recommends players from the English football pyramid.

Our best players in recent years have been unknowns, precisely because we can get quality players at lower prices. Our highest profile signing of late has arguably been Simms.

Does this mean it’s happening!?

Feels a lot like how MvE, Sakamoto and Wright bubbled up. A tweet from the country they play in, then they get spotted through a hedge, clocked by airport stalkers or reported missing by the media team. Wonder what happens with New Vic...?

According to BT's information, the 24-year-old Danish midfield profile is being sold to the Championship club in a transfer worth 2.5 million euros, that's a whopping 19 million kroner.

BT's sources in Norwegian say that the clubs have almost agreed on a transfer, and therefore his agent, Jens Ørgaard, is currently sitting and finalizing the terms of Victor Torp's contract at the English club.

When it is completed, Victor Torp will just have to pass a medical check-up, and then the dream of a big move abroad can come true.

Few had expected that Sarpsborg would receive such a large sum of millions for their investment already a year and a half after they brought him to FC Midtjylland, where he did not get the chance.

It was just a single jump-in of nine minutes duration in the Super League.

But in Norway he has been a big profile in the Eliteserien, where Torp also scored six goals and made three assists in the season that just ended.

After 26 rounds, Coventry is in eighth place in the Championship with a reasonable chance of playing for a place in the Premier League.

Now a Dane is coming to the club, and he has at least as much speed.

Give it a rest, you've not even seen him play.
