Re: Mowbray. That season we did have a special team offensively.

Peeps are forgetting the horrendous injuries we had especially in centre defence. First Reda got injured ACL, then his replacement Ben Turner ACL.

Fir me our season ended as soon as Turner limped off. If either stayed fit.

Also firmly believe your only as good as your weakest links.

We had RCC in goal and Phillip's at Right back.

It’s gonna be

Wilson
Norton cuffy
Mcnally
Fadz
Doyle possibly lanzo
Bidwell possibly wilson-ebrand
Eccles
Hamer
Palmer
Allen
Yok

Think we may sneak it 2-1

Such a cringe "rivalry." Let a few of their weirdos hate us cause of JH but not sure why we have so many fans that force themselves to hate them??

Funny they got stuck in L1 but it's always funny to see bigger clubs do badly.

Tough game tomorrow, they've done brilliantly this season. Hopefully they produce a vintage Mowbray second half of the season performance and we can get the win.

Fans of some clubs develop a dislike for each other, and sometimes when it's not entirely rational. No issue with this game having an edge. All good fun as long as it doesn't spill over.

The nonsense that lot spew, the abuse they aim at our club and city, all the Luftwaffe references, the 'hoying bags of piss' bullshit, Jimmy's in a box chants, can't help but be wound up by it. Yeah, can take it of course, but to beat them would be especially sweet.

This - They’re constantly disrespectful to our club, city and one of if not our biggest club icon and people think it’s okay, mental - I absolutely hate them

Sunderland are a decent side, that Diallo looks class. Would be happy with a point tomorrow, will be a tough game and every chance it starts similar to Norwich if we aren't switched on. Come through unscaved, with a point behind us and we go into potentially 2 games where we could realistically achieve 6 points and be right on the tails of the play offs.

Can’t say I’d settle for a point myself (although I think it’ll be a draw), if we realistically want to sneak into the play-off race then I’d say this is a game we need to be winning

Did see MR say this morning he expects it to be a good game on the eye and I think he’s right - two sides who do try and knock it round a bit and an added bit of needle will make it a good game for the neutral

Diallo should look class considering United spent £19m on him (which could rise to £37m!).

Hope it hasn’t been covered already, but do any of the American based posters on here know whether the game is likely to be shown?

Absolutely this. It's like Christmas Eve for me today.
Really ? Hardly like we are playing Leicester .. feels like a normal game but with a bit more as we can close in on top 6 with a game in hand on a couple .

Why are people so against rivalries? Yes, it's not a traditional local derby but surely something like this which came about because of a controversial event isn't a bad thing.

I see it like when we play Wolves, Derby or West Brom. It's not a main derby and never will be but it's a more tense game will a more gritty atmosphere.

I'd rather we had more games like this than playing Swansea on a Tuesday night.
