A defender with 7 for a shirt number? Not sure how I feel about that. But then again, is a modern right wingback now the closest thing to a traditional 7 anyway?

Arsenal fans seem to rate him highly. Some were saying he should’ve been their second choice. Said he’s like Wan-Bissaka who can actually go forward. Only critique is that he can be a bit rash sometimes.

Is this the lad that tore us apart earlier on in the year?
Or am I thinking of someone else…possibly from another team!
No, that was the lad that Arsenal signed from Hednesford I think... can't remember his name.. got injured shortly after we played them...

Brooke Dion Nelson Norton-Cuffy is his full name, I am sure we will not be vulgar and shorten it (much) He was also in the England u19s that won the euros. Looks like a great signing for the rest of the season.

Kid looks great on that YT vid...ball skills and pace of a winger going forward, and strength and tackling of a defender.
Promising signing, which presumably leaves Burroughs to revert to left wing back cover ?
Or Burroughs to go out on loan for some regular football for half a season, and push for proper first team next season?

Wingback isn’t a defender. It’s a midfielder. We play 3421 not 5221.

I will die on this hill.
So in that formation who wears what number?

If you have the WB's taking the 7 and 11 of wingers, who are the 2 and 3?

CB 2,3,4
WB 7, 11
DCM 5,6
AM 8, 10
ST 9

Personally I'd prefer
CB 4, 5, 6
WB 2, 3
CM 7, 8
ACM 10, 11
ST 9

Not that it matters these days.
