Where was it said though?

I am talking about people who don't watch newsnight, didn't watch the live debates etc. I am sure there are millions like that. I received nothing in the post personally trying to sway my vote either way with why I should vote either Leave or Remain.

Was delivered to every home in the uk. It says jobs are linked to the EU and household goods could increase in price, because it wasn't hyperbolic people ignored it.

Because, and I quote, "SCAREMONGERING". The go to response for any genuine warnings.

People are entitled to believe what they want, but to say the warnings weren't there is complete bollocks.

No I am not saying they weren't there if they looked for them. I know people who don't watch the news, read the paper or anything and certainly wouldn't have watched things like Newsnight.

The warnings were there if you followed it or followed sites / media that discussed it but how many millions didn't really have a clue?

FTSE recovering from the initial shock now just 2% down.

Sterling back up to $1.38 vs last week average $1.43.

Calm down all's good and the bonus is that Corbyn will soon be crawling back under his rock.

I only know what appears on Sky News, as I can only get Sky News.
I work on a market stall in the Canary Islands, 75% of my customers are Brits & Irish on holiday. I have asked most from all different locations of the UK, and as I have mentioned most appear to me to have done no homework on the subject. They first of mention Eastern Europeans - "they are everywhere", so they tell me and they want them OUT. Then I ask them why am I serving them - without realising I am living in Spain under the same rights to move across Europe as the Eastern Europeans.

People speaking to me only mentioned "Immigration". However a small amount had also mentioned the £350million (Written on the side of the bus) that, that will help there local hospital - because that's what they heard on TV.

I mentioned on earlier posts about Boris Johnson in Stratford-upon-Avon, He was asked by a worker on the floor - "Will the immigrants be told to leave next Friday" - Boris tried answering "that he likes immigration, and we wouldn't expect the EU migrants already here, to be expected to leave" - the big problem with this answer was it wasn't repeated later on in the evening news sections, so got ignored.

Only in the last few days have I heard on TV were small clips regarding immigration, More down to that MP being shot.

Even now, I have had sky on most of the morning they are still ignoring the huge immigration problem that everybody keeps telling me about.

My wife read out a few comments off Facebook yesterday to back up the racist comments this EU debate has bought up.

Not one person voting out mentioned anything to do with the economy, the few who said they would vote remain mentioned the economy, but also agreed not everything in Europe is perfect.

exactly. lets face it most of the OUT voters did it because of immigration.

as an asian i am shocked by the amount of indians i know who voted OUT too because of.......immigration

now dont get me wrong, it has got out of control. and things do need to change because british values are being wiped out. but to ruin the country to solve it seems counter productive.

but hey least the chavs on benefits will now all become doctors because no immigrants to take all their jobs

I dont know much about the FTSE, but is it actually money being lost / taken away?

Surely it is only lost if you sell the shares today? Whereas if you wait for a bit and let it settle down it won't be as bad?

That's my reading of it but then again I am the last person to ask.

You didn't really need to look for them to be honest Nick. Aside from being fairly obvious in the first place the leave campaign were quick to dismiss them as scare mongering and something that would blow over quickly. That was a warning on its own. Something that is never going to happen when you're talking about a two year process. Things won't really settle down until the exit has ben completed and then a period of adjustment happens afterwards. Problem is no one can say with any degree of certainty how long this period of adjustment will last. The only other country to come out the EU was Greenland and the only thing they exported was fish so as a country it was a much simpler adjustment not only for this but also because the population is much smaller. Also took them three years to exit I seem to have remembered reading somewhere.

Exactly, but the hand-wringers & alarmists believe the vote has suddenly uncovered 17.5M closet Nazis.....
Quite, It's so pitiful and insulting that the London elite are branding almost everyone else in the country as the great mass of uneducated peasants from the provinces who must all be tying up the laces on their jack boots right away. I think if we had more equality in funding round the country and stopped trying to funnel all funds back to the capital they wouldn't have been slapped so hard. Lets start investing in all our major areas and by that I don't mean that other crappy con HS2 !

An awful lot of people were swayed by the immigration issue I'm sure and put all their focus on that.

But it won't ruin the country and all immigrants with skills will be as welcome as ever. Those working in the health service and other occupations requiring qualifications are specifically targeted and recruited. Apart from a handful of nutters, almost everyone recognizes that we cannot do without a certain amount of immigration.
Your friends in the Indian community quite rightly don't want to see the continuation of hundreds of thousands of unskilled and unchecked economic migrants pouring in, forcing wages down for the ordinary man on the street, plus also then adding to the policing and security problems. Our prisons are full of foreign criminals and MI6 is running every which way trying to spot terrorists and organised gangs.

Full of foreign prisoners? How many? What's the %? How is leaving thr EU going to make finding British Jihadists easier?

I must admit I was shocked and upset by the result, but am hoping that things don't go t*ts up with the economy(as I am/was fearing). I think immigration may prove to be a red herring, as I'm not sure that many people realise that 'asylum seekers' can claim next to nowt in terms of benefits when they get here (yes, some of the EU people can). Not surprised Cameron has gone, Corbyn looked like someone who wanted leave in the first place and now looks like a wet lettuce (as a leader), Faraje is having his five minutes in the sun (but is a buffoon) and Boris is a lovable rogue but I'm not sure how he would cope as an international statesman (what the hell would the Queen make of him?). Gove - everybody seems to detest him. Really think there may be a political vacuum, without a statesman from Labour to rally around, as this seems like a 'Labour' / working class vote (nowt wrong with that) and the Tories have to deal with the resultant mess. Just my opinion. PUSB!

Surely now we have to make fundamental constitutional changes to our country we should have a general election to choose the government to do it. Maybe even a coalition of all major parties or some national unity government. We can't let Boris, Gove and IDS decide the rules for all future governments without a mandate can we??

German finance ministry says there are concerns France, Austria, Finland, Netherlands & Hungary could follow UK's lead in leaving.

The EU's a sinking ship.

Great time for Scotland to think about joining.

Jimmy Krankie will lead them to the abyss, they will have to wait a while as oil is about $50 a barrel short of where they need it and I hope they remember to take their toxic bank with them.

We should be so lucky!

The long-suffering Dutch tax payer will now have to pick up much of the tab for the EU revenue shortfall created by Britain's withdrawal. :(

Well you know what to do;)

My company used to own a factory in Holland what a place to work the staff were so looked after and extra months pay in the summer was nice but what a boring location It was.
