But our competitors pay 150k and have those streams so still not a level playing field and puts us at a disadvantage so we will eventually fail.

Ok,so lets play at the memorial park, pay a rent of £150k and keep the F&B revenue .......

Oh, you don't think that's a good idea? Why....because its not the same as the Ricoh, is it !

Tbh it wouldn't bother me. Glandford park last week wssnt rhe ricoh but I enjoyed seeing city win just the same. The ricoh is where we are and we are disadvantaged by paying more than our competitors.

Are our comparatively huge crowds putting our competitors at a disadvantage?

But th

No, it puts us closer to them in terms of being able to put a good team out each week. But I'd say they have the Edge if we hadn't got him.

Yes .. but that's the point! A level playing field and the bigger fish are able to find their true worth or do you think we should only pay low wages too? You stated lowest position for 51 years but you're happy to see crawley stevenage and yeovil have an advantage.

Two years ago I payed £11k plus, to rent a venue for my daughter's wedding.

That was for a nice , but not excessive, venue.......for one day.

We rent a top sporting venue, not just for 23 home games, but also for daily BAU aspects of running a football club.

If we get that for £400k pa, I know which one is better value , or at least in absolute terms (putting aside emotions )

Nice that you were in a position to do that for her, but if they loved eachother as I assume they do, then 1k, 11k or111k it matters not in ther same way as we unconditionally love the city

The reason Crawley and Stevenage are able to compete with us is because they are a well run club.

ACL could be handed for free over to CCFC, yet the fact would still remain we are run by incompetent baffoons, and that certainly isn't ACL's doing.

They are well run clubs and desrve thgeir place, but without contradicting your earlier posts on this thread, are you happy about that?

No of course I'm not happy about that. CCFC and ACL should be one, and if you look through all my previous posts you will see I have no problem with that.

What I do have a problem with is Sisu's bully boy tactics against anyone who gets in their way. When we have responsible and repectful owners the real negeotiations can begin.

No, that was the Council who messed that up. Why did they not wait until we'd failed to get a play-off berth? Or until we'd gained promotion?

SISU have a lot to answer for, but so do CCC.

Sorry Torch, but your memory seems very short:
Fisher says to the Guardian that the club is insolvent and they are going to have to file for liquidation.
ACL then files for administration, a step that prevents fisher, SISU and co from putting the club into liquidation until a judge has had time to consider just what the Hell is going on and decides what to do with the stupid mess. If ACL waited, they might have been too late and Dim Fisher and SISU could/would already have put the club into liquidation - which is an irreversible step from which there is no way back. Once Fisher opened his big mouth to a national newspaper with an open and immediate threat to put the club into liquidation, ACL had to respond immediately or lose the chance to do so for ever more.
Fisher and SISU are the ones who set the timetable with the threat of liquidation, so how are Coventry City Council responsible for this happening just as we get to within three points of a playoff spot?????

The solution is for a new owner that buys the ground, but they're hardly beating the doir down mate and unless acl reduce their rudiculius asking price it won't happen. If I had my way sisu would do one AND acl would go bust. Then we can move forward.

What about the share of f&b's that Compass takes? Should Sisu just try and screw them over as well?

It stands until 2015 and is in the public domain. Based on £10m for the 50% share that belonged to ccc
