Confirmed Signing Yann Gboho (4 Viewers)

It's on the official web site now, I think it's all done. A visa is a formaility.
Yeah I was referring to whether he'd have a visa in time to play tomorrow, hope he does, at least so he can be on the bench

I do wonder if Doug read the posts in the last couple of days from the "Bedwetters" and it suddenly clicked we needed a LW. It wouldnt surprise me, and in reality we should be thanking them!
Them ???

Rather doubt it as he hasn't even trained with the squad.
Maybe on the bench for the Brighton game and a starter versus Villa.

How do we know he hasn't trained , transfer window shut days ago and we announce this afternoon, could've been here a week or so

I'm already getting bored of every headline referring to him as Desire Doues cousin

He flew in on deadline day

Imagine going against him for 70mins being happy to see him subbed only for EMC to come on and start bulldozing through you.
We need the right side to offer us similar. We need to give touchana time. Saka as the impact sub can work imo. He was ok Vs hull bar the error

Could be more of those available in January.

They may be in teams' plans at the moment but half a season of no game time we can say "come here keep us up and if not you're captain in the championship"

can we de-register a player if we take a free agent, or is that your lot now until January?

PROFILE | Yann Gboho – Toulouse’s wizard, a master of the dribble

Attacking players are often judged on their “stats“, their goals and assists. It is a part of modern football, even if players do try to push against the trend that lends an even greater importance to numbers. But Toulouse’s Yann Gboho is a different kind of attacker, one that reminds you that football is also entertainment, an art form.

Mercurial dribblers, due to the importance of structures and stats, are fewer and further between nowadays, but Gboho is certainly a throwback and Ligue 1 is certainly more fun for his continued presence in it.

Simply to comply with the standard evaluation of a forward’s quality, let’s look at his stats this season. The Toulouse winger has five goals in 15 games in Ligue 1. That is as many as he scored in 33 games in all competitions last season. It should be a record-breaking season on an individual level for the 24-year-old; he only needs one more goal for this to be the most prolific of his career outright. In terms of his end-product, he is improving, but that isn’t the sole metric by which you value Gboho’s worth.

Gboho – the best dribbler in Ligue 1, one of the best in Europe

Gboho is a dribbler, as aesthetic as he is efficient. “I like dribbling, I always have,” he said at the end of November, who was then asked how he reacted to being – statistically – the best dribbler in France. “I’m happy to see that but it doesn’t say how you dribble. To be honest, I don’t look at stats too much, I do a lot on feeling. Dribbling brings emotions on the pitch. I love it when you hear an “oooo” in the stands after dribbling. It’s good to do it, but there has to be something at the end of it.”

And Gboho is helping Toulouse to work dangerous situations through his elite dribbling ability. No player in Ligue 1 has made more successful take-ons, and in Europe’s top five leagues, he ranks inside the top 10 in this metric. In Ligue 1, he also ranks inside the top 10 for carries into the penalty area, for fouls drawn, and for progressive carries.

Words can’t explain how happy and relieved I am right now. Biggest worry coming out from the window was not LB anymore but that LW spot, so relieved that we have brought in a star on a relatively small fee and we never have to see BTA on the left again. Not arsed about BTA leaving as I think his energy could be useful just not anywhere on the left.

I want to know how the fuck this was kept a secret and no leaks at all?
