Albeit this is a highlight reel from only 1 game, but thats not the best of highlight reels! He wins 2 free kicks amd hits the bar. Other than that he spends the rest of the reel passing the ball backwards

He does look a decent player though. Very, very similar to Tats. Almost like-for-like. Be great if he can play away from home as well.as Tats can at home.

Same could be said of Ayari with us.

He's now scoring and assisting in the PL
Not only us, Blackburn too. You could see there was something there but he definitely looked like he’d be one of many players who just didn’t have what it took to make it.

Fair play to him, he’s looking like he’s making the step up from decent squad player to starter in a good BHA side.

Looks very different type of winger to Tatsu to me

He'll probably look better in a ball dominant side. He doesn't need to be a superstar, EMC will still play most of the minutes ideally, as long as he can come off the bench with the odd start it's fine

Feels like Esse will be competition for Sakamoto and this fella will be backup for EMC which works for me.

Yes agreed.

Could see them one or both of them getting some minutes at 10 as well.

Opens up so many more options for us and means we don't have to keep flogging EMC and Saka into the ground.

All I see is upside here- both are positionally exactly what we need and can play their natural position and we can keep our shape throughout a whole game
Both are championship experienced and should be match fit.
Miles away from when we had Norton Cuffey and Esbrand and Robins didn’t even really want them.

Robins ended up signing Wilson-Esbrand twice.

I think Robins wanted Wilson-Esbrand. He signed him for stoke last season aswell and to be fair Norton Cuffey was alright.

Alternatively he hit the bar, got an assist, kept possession well and forced them into some rash tackles...

Firstly, great a loanee, so breaking that route. Secondly, a player who can have an impact. Sakamoto, with all the scraps he is involved in with players cutting him down will be relieved after 60-65 minutes and this lad can be a similar threat.

Statistically, Min-Hyeok Yang is more attacking, shoots more and surprisingly just as good defensively. I’m not sure if that’s complementary of Min-Hyeok Yang or an indication that Sakamoto is pretty average.

However, the caveat here is that there’s much more data to draw upon for Sakamoto because he’s played more minutes and where Min-Hyeok Yang wins is the per 90 categories. He’s averaged about 46m per game and Sakamoto averages about 67m per game (24/25 and 25/26 combined averages).

Seems like he could be the kind of player we were crying out to bring on in the last few games. Remember, he will be under some great coaching with us as well, and around better players. Hopefully he can kick on with us and provide a decent bit of value to the team.
