He played most of his games in Korea on the right. Maybe Portsmouth were trying to shoehorn him in the left and it didnt entirely suit him. Even so, he look versatile.

I imagine the "Cov offered more minutes" line, has come from him being very rarely used recently - I wouldnt take much from that. At the start of the season he started most games and got a couple of goals and assists. Then Pompey slumped to several defeats in a row. You can imagine the attacking impotus then gets reduced in the team and he appears to have suffered from it.

He is highly rated and the fact the Madrid have been sniffing around says a lot.

Nice to see some positivity - genuinely think with a 2-3 additions we’ll be firing again.

Different subject just noticed WBA have sacked their manager. Another one bites the dust.

Ayari didn’t get a look in with robins et al, he’s gone on to do alright. Bit of pace, and championship experience under his belt at such a young age. Provides the depth we need on that side. All for it.

Brutal time of the year unfortunately. I think some clubs need to be realistic - going up against parachute teams and the fact you’ve got 15-16 clubs that can all get into the playoffs shows how tough the league is.

Comments on the Championship Reddit from Portsmouth fans that he's raw but talented. Many wondering why he's going to us if he struggling to get minutes at Portsmouth, but I imagine he can cover both the left and right

Last time I saw Portsmouth they had a much lower defensive lineand were not trying to control the game so much. They are 14th in the table for possession and look to be in for a relegation dogfight so would assume they will try and go more direct. I think our high press will allow the wingers to get more opportunities on the ball in dangerous areas. After all we are still by far leading the stats for touches in the opposistion box and shots.

Be great to have the depth to sub wingers every game when they are tired , forces them to work harder whilst they are on , not that they arent but they can press and work from the off

Purely in the interest of balance m8, I just spoke to my nephew, who’s a regular at Fratton Park… and he said;

Think they comparing him to Murphy..whos arguably best winger outside premiership.

Over the moon about this. Muxh needed competition and a lift.

And he will improve!!

Yes, we definitely need an intensity boost. Hopefully it'll enable Rudoni and Torp too

Im loving it.. loving it..loving it!

Good start Doug. Good start to the week.

Our attacking options off the bench have been woefull last few games.

Watch us recall Rapha too now...he may go elsewhere.

People also need to remember we are a much better team than Portsmouth so it will be easier for him to look good for us than Pompey.

We will hopefully have more of the ball and be more attacking than they will in their position.
