How could he turn us down for non-rangers?
Presumably Barton is an alternative...

is a different alternative if he is ...... supposedly Jennings likes a tackle apparently Barton is not that sort of player.

I would guess Jennings has alternative interest that suits him better .......... or that we took a look and said not for us.... (but my money would be on the first)

I suppose there is a third alternative - MONEY!

Maybe he wanted more than we were prepared to offer.
But we should get some explanation? - unless its still a possibility..?

I heard it was David Bells fault?

He tricked Jennings and sprayed tomato ketchup on him.

However you fail to understand even if Bell paid someone to kill Jennings. Then fed him to pigs and Andy thorn innocently ate a Bacon sandwich with bits of Jennings in. It would still be AT's fault.

This reminds me of that Roald Dahl short story where the woman murders her husband and then serves it up as roast to the investigating police officer.

Yes, that was one of the best Tales Of The Unexpected episodes. She hit him with a fozen leg of lamb or something and then served it to the police officer. Almost as good as an ice dagger.

That's the one! Some of the first "grown up" books I ever read were the Tales of the Unexpected short stories. They were much better than the TV series, although Brian Blessed is always a good thing.

Dahl also wrote in his book on Democracy that true direct Democracy could be achieved in the future by technological advances whereby people could make decisions from home on daily referendum. So, he predicted the internet: he'd probably be rather disappointed in what it's mostly used for.
