On his day he is class but overall play and team winning is better than banging the goals in and bringing nothing else as long as the team are. It's pretty obvious you are one track mind on this so I can't be bothered to explain any more. He’s paid to score goals, which he does, you make it sound like you‘d rather him running around more and getting assists, give him the ball to his feet and he’ll score goals, we’re slinging hopeless balls into the box hoping he’ll get on the end of one, the lads quality,
He played left on Friday and was woefulProblem is I don’t think he’s a through the middle striker. He gets goals but he doesn’t have that instinct about him. If you want a promotion squad you commit by and large to having him and EMC left with a genuine striker through the middle.
I bet he is earning more than 20k a week. You'd be fuming if you were someone like Eccles, Tats, EMC etc. Giving your life and soul for a game and then you're 20k+ a week, international striker faffs about the pitch.
I'm still fuming.
I don’t think it’s a system issue, personally. I’d expect a CF to flourish with the amount of balls we put in the box.I think whoever plays up front in his system generally looks shit.
It's up to Lampard to either tweak the system to involve the CF more or to find a striker that fits.
He definitely did.I might be wrong, but I didn't even see him join in the celebrations when AMC scored.
Okay. But did he even look slightly happy or excited? He definitely did.
Yeah, there’s a pretty decent picture of him jumping (about the only jumping he did all night).Okay. But did he even look slightly happy or excited?
i wouldn’t be either if I’d been made to look a bit daft, the reason your pissed off at wright is because we’ve just threw away that semi final because we can’t defend, there’s a few more players before wright I’d be pissed off with, and it’s not a “ one track mind “ he‘s quality, played in the right set upOn his day he is class but overall play and team winning is better than banging the goals in and bringing nothing else as long as the team are. If he wasn’t doing what Lampard wanted he wouldn’t have played every minute ?i wasnt sure if he had been told to stay up top and not drop back, not get involved, be the target man etc, but judgeing from what saddle has said clearly it wasnt.
if i was a betting man, grimes, kitch and tbf prob EMC would have given him an earful

100% sell simms and wright and do whatever we canI think its getting to the point where we just need to freshen things up with the forward line.
Depending on how much we could get with him I'd consider our options.
yeah good pointIf he wasn’t doing what Lampard wanted he wouldn’t have played every minute ?
I think we all acknowledge he’s out of form. But the pile on to get rid is way over the top. Dips in form happen. He played left on Friday and was woeful

Kitching for sure, don't think he would be one to hold backEvidently one or 2 told him what they thought of his recent performances post game last night
Good
Exactly, over the 2 legs it’s not because of wright we lost, take away MVE’s mistake, we win it and nobody’s talking about wright being lazy, love our fans sometimesAn international footballer who’s scored double figures despite missing a good chunk of the season ‘wHo WoUlD wAnT HiM’.
I get some of you are angry, and I thought he was rubbish in both legs but most of you saying get rid were rimming him after his Hattrick a few weeks ago
I’d have said Rudi as he was doing Wrights work for him for 210 minutesi wasnt sure if he had been told to stay up top and not drop back, not get involved, be the target man etc, but judgeing from what saddle has said clearly it wasnt.

I don’t, he can f**k off this summer, there’s no sentiment in football I’m afraid. What might help his game is if he stops playing in roller skates...
I hate it when everyone gets down on a player (oo-err missus), because I think then all you notice is the negative stuff and you miss the positive stuff. In fairness wasn't it his challenge in the middle of the goal that led to the ball dropping to EMC?
Other than that though, I'm struggling to remember him doing anything particularly useful.
And I'm sure I saw on more than one occasion that he simply backed out of attempting to win headers from long balls, and just left the centre half to it.
Now I know it's not really his game, and I know the odds are he wouldn't beat Ballard most times, but I really, really didn't like the not trying. Tats is half the size, and backs out of nothing - maybe that's the point that was being made in the changing rooms afterwards.
I hope for us, and him, he learns something from it, and comes back a better player next season.
