Would people be silly and try and get in I guess is the only worry

You can't get into the stadium from the fans Village there are doors that can be locked with security guards on them.

To think we used to give 4K to away fans out of a 23K capacity at HR last time we were in the PL as the demand for home tickets wasn’t there.

From my recollection it fell approximately 500 short of the total permitted for sale, and I thought the fan's that had joined the list had been ripped off, but then I thought it was at least 50 or more to get on the list.

Sigh. I’m sure there’s a million people ahead of me but if anyone ends up with a spare wrexham ticket i missed out and would love one if interested in selling

Mmm this clamour was always going to happen even more so when we didn’t win at Hull - disappointing when people are looking to profiteer from their ticket - it will be another tough match like Hull

What's Hull got to do with it out of interest?

This game was always going to be a once in a generation (lifetime for some?) match and demand was going to be crazy due to it being the last game and therefore (fingers crossed) the trophy lift. Which is why the decision not to use the point system or give any prior notice about when they would go on sale all the more bizarre.

On a separate note away from tickets, any thoughts what DK may have lined up on the day ? I thought the Enemy's performance before the blunts game was a sort of test event for post Wrexham celebrations, would be great to get them to do a couple of songs once the trophy has been lifted

I think i would have benefited from a points based system, but I understand why they didn't do it. However it would have been better to announce the ticket sales time the day before. Gives everyone a bit more opportunity to get in there when they go on sale. I had no chance and no doubt others were in the same situation.

Me and my daughter are resigned to the fact we'll have to watch on tv, but we've had some great memories of the games we have been to. We've won every game we attended and witnessed some of the best football we've ever seen at Cov. Hopefully we'll be able to get to a few games in the prem.

I can understand not using a points system, but the total lack of notice and just sticking them on sale was very unfair. No doubt would have caught a lot of people out.

Now this I can agree with. That said, my assumption is although it may be "fairer", advanced notice would have created a tonne of complexity that at such short notice before the game, they quite frankly didn't want to have to deal with.

Ultimately, they were always go to sell out so no skin off their nose really. As far as decisions go, this was never going to be the most controversial.

Surely a points system would be irrelevant if the people missing out probably don't have enough points anyway?

Yeah I don’t get it. There’s no point in advance notice either as people will still miss out.

And if had been announced for sales starting at 10 this morning, there would have been the usual Ticketmaster meltdown “you are in a queue” nonsense and those lucky enough to get through first would have potential to hooverup loads of tickets each - don’t see how that’s any fairer.
Not if they used the points system (excluding STHs who already have their match ticket).

FFS I'm pulling my hair out now so walking away before I give myself a heart attack!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Think this is basically what they do every game isn't it? They probably thought we're going to get shit whatever system we use so just do what we normally do. Not like they needed to worry about being left with a bunch of tickets they couldn't sell.
