Demand will far exceed supply and if they don't use the points system (which they should) it will be a free for all. So I don't think its quite as straight forward as you're suggesting.
And yet none of that has anything to do with with them rushing to put tickets on sale, which was the what the op was saying. If tickets go on sale today or in 2 weeks it will still be as easy or as hard to get a ticket as it's going to be.

Well if they are anything like me they are spending most of every day refreshing the ticket site and looking for Twitter updates, so the quicker they go on sale the quicker they can get try and get tickets and get on with their lives!

You refresh the ticket site before the tickets have been announced as going on sale? That seems unhelpful.

You could just check the club website once a day at very most for a new article, or wait till the inevitable thread is opened in here when they're announced. Then once they've been announced as they dont immediately go on sale you can just make a note of the time and date they go on sale and then buy them.

Seems all this extra stress isnt worth it.

3 weeks until Portsmouth and still no ticket news. Come on City, some of us have hotels and leave to book.
We are still waiting for Sky to confirm TV selections / fixture moves. Portsmouth is classed as the penultimate week of the season so Sky do their selections for that midweek round of games and the Wrexham game at the same time. Their last set of TV selections went up till Sunday 19th April.

The game won't change because Pompy are already selling tickets.

John Mousinho’s side make a midweek trip to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday, April 21 (7.45pm kick-off).

Blues fans have been allocated just over 2,100 tickets in the South Stand for the contest against the Championship leaders, which must be purchased in advance.

Any common sense by Sky and they will schedule ours at 5:15 Saturday as it greatly enhances the likelihood of it being concluded with Matt Grimes lifting the trophy in front of a sea of sky blue.

So obviously on that basis it will be 8pm Friday.
I bloody well hope not. I've stopped doing night games and I've already lost the Derby game. I could put up with 5;15 but not the late slot

Not arguing against you just wondering what the difference was , from Frank's perspective
We will have to speculate or if any of us bumped into to him we could ask him. I just wish Sky would make their minds up. I'm flying back on Monday ,luckily I'm flying direct and bought my flights before the fule surcharge. I have tickets for Shef Wed game and hope to have tickets for the Portsmouth and Wrexham games

We should have won it a few games before this weekend, this would just be the default lift date.
A few games before?! If we play Friday we'd need to be 10 clear of Ipswich as they'd have 3 left. I'm pretty convinced we won't be champions a 'few games' prior to that!

I'm out at the moment so can't double check but I'm sure when I looked previously. We can win the league from the Wednesday game (with other games going our way) thats three games prior to Wrexham and given Ips and Boros form and their fixtures it's entirely possible. I think we probably have it sewn up by portsmouth.
