You also referred to them as the second most cringey team in England rather than the most cringey team in Wales.

It’s been a long week. Couldn’t even point to it on a map of Europe if you asked me to right now.

EDIT - I’m also going to pretend that I didn’t say that and you are making it up.

Obviously forgetting we've been in the top flight and survived for 30-40 years (granted, it's a bit different these days).
These days it's easier to stay up once you establish yourself. Most seasons you watch the same clubs go up then down. Gate receipts don't mean much now.

Getting way ahead of ourselves even talking about it but the way this club is run i'd never back again us staying up. I think we can be better than the 2 we will possibly come up with, then its just one more isn't it. A shame we weren't in there to benefit from the shambles at both Wolves and West Ham though.

Up until kick off Saturday the Watford match thread was on page 7.
With 3 1/2 hours to go this thread is on page 24.

Where do Wrexham get the idea they're some sort of big deal from?!
To be fair the Wrexham supporters are more grounded than the Brummies. You will always get a few that expect too much or expect a bad season but most are expecting to lose tonight.

Nobody knows what will happen this season let alone next season. Backing for us? King could have brought in a lot of money by selling players before this season started but we added more quality and kept everyone we wanted to. That's why I was so confident we would have a big season this season when many were predicting mid table. Money is still being pumped into Coventry City Football Club. If and when we get promoted can you honestly say we will stand still? Did you think Sunderland would do so well this season?

These questions feel like you are arguing with me 😆

What a surprise 😂

So instead of a throwaway comment how about saying which part you disagree with? King is pumping millions in each season so why would he suddenly tighten the spending with about 100m coming to our club? The way I see it is he has faith in Lampard and would continue to do so. At worse we would have a very good chance of becoming one of the yoyo clubs that continue to get the Sky money.

I don't disagree ffs that's the whole point. Read what I said before going off.

Well, you get a lot of when we get to the Premier League from their fans as if it is an inevitability.
Money certainly makes it more likely, but only if it is spent wisely, and they have the right coaching set up. See also Birmingham

Erm I think that’s basically what @TomRad85 thinks?

But you should still fight each other and live stream it in a separate thread.

If Sheaf does play tonight, it would be just our luck, that after 172 consecutive ballooned shots, all at least 15 ft over the bar, he will score from a screamer

But then I think, does it really make a difference if it's 6 nil, or 6-1. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually, I think it might be a close game maybe for while, but then hopefully our quality will shine through

Honestly, one of the worst players for shitting himself when he gets within a few yards of the penalty area. Which is mad because his technique in all other areas is really good. Just a mental thing. He will score now and I will be upset 🥲

To be fair of any game to rely on Bidwell this would be the game maybe frank is worried about Moore pulling on to JDS

Two seasons ago this logic was solid. These days unfortunately he isn’t quite the same player.

As always he’ll be reliable enough, but he isn’t that much ahead of JDS defensively to warrant dropping him in his place.

We’ll lose an attacking threat if so too, frustrating in a game I want to see us on the front foot.

Myself and many others on this site remember very clearly the days sat watching Cov at their lowest ebb in 2017/18, and most of us thought the days of being close to the Prem were over for many many years, couldn’t see a way back, but here we are just 7/8 years later top of the Championship, scoring goals for fun and the team they all fear.
Let’s enjoy every minute and go out and extend our unbeaten start.
Wrexham fans are a bit full of themselves atm, so let’s put them in their place.

Living in Chester, word has got around they’re staying at the Hilton in Chester, so hopefully they’re well rested!

Bobby Thomas staying with his Mum. (I have no idea if the song is accurate)

You think we will never stay up not knowing what even this season holds. Sunderland were lucky against both us and Sheffield United yet they're in 4th and 12 points out of the relegation battle. None of the promoted sides are in the bottom 3. You seem to think King won't back us if we get promoted even though he is backing us all the time now.

Quite simple really.

Sunderland certainly weren’t lucky against Sheff U, they were much the better team.

Yeah, my lad reminded me earlier of those goals at Hillsborough.

If he's not injured anyway, then I am genuinely not worried about him. We have so moved on.
