I really don't want it to be vs Deadpool FC or The Blunts or Stoke and Robins or the Boing Boing Bellends. Boro is the most acceptable first defeat but we'll win that too. Invincible season loading.
Cabbage face is the main one I can't really tolerate. Happy to draw at Stoke and Wrexham if we gave him a good steaming in between.

I agree draws are acceptable from those 2 away games if we win the home ones. I'm leaning towards thinking we win at Wrexham though, our forwards should be too much for their defence. I'm not keen on this bypassing the midfield thing but we've done what we needed to do, will be interesting to see what we go with.

He's gotta play eventually and I don't think we could ask for a better back up. Doesn't worry me at all.

but Yeah, should've said same formation. I'd be happy with the rest of the XI being the same, though.
No i agree, i think he's an excellent player. I've already said even if we go into the Prem with those 2 as RBs i'd be pretty comfortable.
There are some things he does better than MvE actually, he works his way into shooting positions much better and you'd fancy him to get more goals.

They were hanging on for dear life once Boro woke up, the problem for Boro was it took them until the last 10-20 minutes to do that. There was a whiff of complacency on Saturday which FL will hopefully iron out going into this one.

Not bothered about Wrexham but we owe them for the cup so fuck taking a loss.

I don't have much of an issue with Wrexham tbh, it's a bit cringey at times I guess but fair play to their proper fans cause what a journey they have been on over the last few years getting 3 successive promotions

Reynolds and McElhenney are a damn sight more likeable than the self indulgent tosser over at St. Andrews as well

In fairness to them, their fans appear to be a lot more grounded than the idiots over in Small Heath

Not sure it was complacency really, more just facing a better side (with an especially good central midfield) and the strange circumstances being two up so early.

well i’d rather him be not available than available
Yeh it appears he's not had a good start but he's got to be better than Dan Scarr, who funnily enough i seem to recall scoring in a game against us in league 2 for Wycombe. Think it may have been the one Doyle smacked one in from half way.

Dan Scarr or Coady in at centre CB and Hyam on either side which will be a treat for our forwards

Am I correct in thinking MVE is suspended? If KKH comes in and has a storming game, then it's his position to lose going forward.

Both their keepers look pritty ropey tbf, expect plenty of chances and a few goals 4-1 win. Haji 2, BTA 1, KKH 1.

I reckon 7 points from the 3 game week, draw at Stoke, win the other 2 as wins and we're looking very strong going into the November/December run of games.

Does sound like fun doesn't it. I hope Torp is fit, i don't want us to do the bypassing the midfield thing really as i think we could dominate there too if we wanted to.

I think even if KKH has a great game that MVE will come straight back in, he's been tremendous this season and is just too good to leave out.

Lampard just tends to bring his best players back in when fit. It's why all this talk of Rudoni needing to earn his place back is rubbish really. When he's 100% fit he'll be in the team and he's earned that place over a prolonged period of time.

On paper KKH was a really good signing for us, he’s not had too many chances to impress so I’m excited to see how he does.

When’s the October manager of the month nomination/award decided?

Hoping that Alex Neil or Nathan Jones wins it.

Only one match left in October and unless we lose it heavily it’s impossible to see anyone else but Lampard winning it.

Also the win against Millwall was this month.

You're right. He does not play for another team at the moment. He's injured.

Fair chance he’s got it anyway. The other clubs play in November so it seems unfair to judge Lampard on having played more league games.

I've seen a comment somewhere suggesting that it works on "Game Weeks". The Millwall game was part of the September games as most teams played the night before. And the Wrexham game will be classed as a November game that's been pulled forward.

Is it three matches for a straight red?

Brilliant if so.

Forgive me, but what planet have you been living on, it's always been a three match band for violent conduct, ect.

P.s. Doyle being available for them would’ve been no big deal for us. People are overrating him again.

When he played for Norwich against us he certainly upped his game. 🤔
