3 at the back would sort out any problems from Moore. Wolfie can man mark him.

Or Wolfie and Kitching can deal him and Grimes can pick up the pieces.

well I guess without MVE and the players out injured the line up shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

We really need EMC and Sakamoto to be busy going forward tonight rather than drifting in and out of the game....

Saka always works hard to help out defensively, EMC must do the same otherwise Bidwell may have a tough task.

Not keen on the almost completely different defence. I get the thought process with Bidwell over Dasilva though. Hopefully they’ll settle together quickly.

Meltdown has begun early tonight. Let's see what happens before we all start crying.

Need to keep Kabore quiet. He’s been good every time I’ve seen him

If the defence does their job we have more than enough to finish the job.

Woolfie had a great opportunity to make the shirt his own tonight. Thomas is normally our all action CB and with the direct football Wrexham play he’ll need to perform that role well.

Dasilva obviously left out with an eye on the next couple of games and with Wrexham’s tactics in mind. I bet Parkinson is shitting it now as he’s trained them all week to go long over the short guy.

Our attack should have way too much for their defence so if our backline can do a decent job we win.

Not sure about Bidwell for Dasilva as he's on the bench. Should still have too much for them

Makes total sense. Who would you rather have defending crosses at the back post? I know who I would choose.

Their back 3 is Cleworth, Scarr and Hyam.

Very important point on Grimes. His durability is elite, he’s missed about 10 to 15 league games since our league 2 days. I’m just going off appearances so there are games he may have just been rested rather than injured.

With Sheaf, I worry we ran him into the ground because he basically played all the minutes he was available. Given that Eccles has had a run of injuries, I hope he hasn’t been ran into the ground himself.

My main concerns are (a) the reduced attacking strength of our wing-backs (although KKH isn't bad) and (b) our midfield. Not having MVE's long throws is also a loss.

If we play as we can then we should win, the worrying word being "should". It could just be one of those games where we are the better team but don't get our just desserts. It happens in sport and it will happen to us several times over the season. Equally there will be games when we are poor and get more than we deserve.

exactly the most important thing in a defence is continuity. it’s basically a new back 4 tonight. People think just because they are similar quality it doesn’t matter they’re all changing

We have put the defence in to deal with Moore. Woolfenden has the experience needed. I prefer Bidwell for Wrexham.

Was just about to say this. Imagine last year saying we are going to be without MVE and Rudoni!!

Other players stepping up this year and rightly so.

My worry is the middle

Lewis O'brien and Ben Sheaf will take the piss out of Jamie Allen. Lot resting on Grimes shoulders this eve

That team screams that we've got one eye on Sheff Utd. If things don't go to plan we still have Torp and Eccles to bring on.

I'm genuinely mystified by some people's reaction.
Clearly not our strongest starting 11 but that's a very good side with options from the bench.
And 2 of the changes enforced anyway

Depends on if that midfield is bypassed by Parkinson's tactics.

Ipswich fans said wolf better in a 3 than a two but you’d think Thomas has a knock rather than rested

No one has been overly critical, just people discussing the team selection. Some are more concerned than others but no one is having a meltdown

nah, all they will be doing is either hoofing it long or trying to pick up 2nd balls around the area

wrexham aren't going to be doing much playing through the middle

Correct. A solid defence against not much of an attack. Let's rest a couple before the harder games start.

the players who aren't regular starters should be well up for it. top of the league and a chance to prove yourself on tv against the Hollywood superstars.

Far too much bedwetting here.

Saw that cuck Sheaf was in the line up and tried to put a bet on, but bet365 don't allow score predictions above 6 goals for some reason.

We'll smash them.

Bidwell could be the right decision for this game whilst not as quick as Dasilva I think he's more shore footed if conditions are bad.
