You will get a handful come over but they probably have more money than sense. The point though was Wrexhams fanbase hasnt been swamped by people coming from America. Their crowds are the same as last time they were at level 2. They will always be a small club as their population is roughly the same as Nuneaton and they are within an hours drive of Liverpool & Manchester where there are plenty of bigger clubs.I was sat in a restaurant last month and was sat on a table next to some Americans who are Wrexham "fans". We were so fortunate Saturday and the same could be said for Blackburn at home and Millwall away , the difference is we are far more clinical at present, create sooo many chances and have an excellent shot stopper in goal. Playing us on Friday, we are top of the league, and he's playing for a bunch of cloggers who's home ground looks like a barn. It must be a bit embarrassing, and the main stand isn't even lined up properly either, which is now another thing people have noticed.
Whilst I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does make a magical appearance in the squad for Friday, and it is true his injury record is appaling, it wouldn't be the first time he's not fancied playing a game. I reckon he really doesn't want to get humiliated further by being on the pitch when they play against us and so he's knocking his injury along a bit.

Sheaf was great for us and it looks as if injuries may be a blight on his career. Really feel sorry for him if that is the case.
Having seen great players for us have their careers wrecked or held back by injuries, I cannot help but sympathise.
Roy Barry, David Busst, Stephen Froggat, Dave Bennett, Liam Walsh, James Maddison, Dabo and Callum Wilson later in his career to name but a few.
When you look at those names (even those who had great careers) you can only wonder what might have been.
The smaller the town the more they hate each other.In fairness, these newer fans would have never experienced the intensity of the rivalries with Chester, Cardiff and Swansea. They don't get the geography and history of their newly adopted club. The fan culture in the USA is v different too and the closest thing their have to the intensity of rivalries in the UK is their college football teams.
Even then, their rivalries are more Liverpool v Everton (i.e. friendlier affairs) than Blackburn and Burnley (two towns that hate each other without knowing why).
I'm glad our fanbase hasn't been mobbed like that. For the most part, our 'growth' has been pulling in locals who used to support the likes of Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and so on. I see a lot of people on social media who are 'diehard' Cov fans who at school, were 'diehards' for Prem teams.

It sounds like a mental derby. Apparently they close the motorway/A road that connect the two to police escort away fans and it’s common to have 8-10ft fence between home and away fans at the games.
I’ll try and get a ticket next time it’s on, I’d like to experience it.

Just a polite way of saying we're going to give them a rogering they won't forget in a hurry.On paper they've just bought a bang average Championship side. I'm not suggesting for one second that going away to any middling Championship team isn't difficult but I think they are restricted by their manager.

If you are a fan of either club and happen to live in the rival town, then tough sh*t.
