Which kit are we playing in for this one,is there a clash, will they play dirty before the game?

Its the first game since its release that we're playing an away match against a team not in blue (Millwall/Portsmouth) so it'll be the third kit surely.

Really, you think people are getting on flights over the Atlantic go and watch Wrexham

I was sat in a restaurant last month and was sat on a table next to some Americans who are Wrexham "fans". Overheard that they'd flown over to go to a Wrexham & a West Ham game (assume the easiest London prem game to go to)

So yeah, they are

You will get a handful come over but they probably have more money than sense. The point though was Wrexhams fanbase hasnt been swamped by people coming from America. Their crowds are the same as last time they were at level 2. They will always be a small club as their population is roughly the same as Nuneaton and they are within an hours drive of Liverpool & Manchester where there are plenty of bigger clubs.

Why are people using their performance last night as a yardstick? That is like using our Millwall League Cup game

Thought they looked alright against Boro. But unless we're complacent we should win again

Think Boro underestimated them and took ages to get going.

I genuinely think we will beat Wrexham but i am not over confident like those idiots on the fan cast talking (I really struggle with the guy on this Monday and dont get me started on Lorna ) . We were so fortunate Saturday and the same could be said for Blackburn at home and Millwall away , the difference is we are far more clinical at present, create sooo many chances and have an excellent shot stopper in goal. Anyway, I'd take a draw tbf, one thing is for sure, we will definitely score !

He felt his balls go more like.

Playing us on Friday, we are top of the league, and he's playing for a bunch of cloggers who's home ground looks like a barn. It must be a bit embarrassing, and the main stand isn't even lined up properly either, which is now another thing people have noticed.

Whilst I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does make a magical appearance in the squad for Friday, and it is true his injury record is appaling, it wouldn't be the first time he's not fancied playing a game. I reckon he really doesn't want to get humiliated further by being on the pitch when they play against us and so he's knocking his injury along a bit.

I hope you are being ironic.
Sheaf was great for us and it looks as if injuries may be a blight on his career. Really feel sorry for him if that is the case.
Having seen great players for us have their careers wrecked or held back by injuries, I cannot help but sympathise.
Roy Barry, David Busst, Stephen Froggat, Dave Bennett, Liam Walsh, James Maddison, Dabo and Callum Wilson later in his career to name but a few.
When you look at those names (even those who had great careers) you can only wonder what might have been.

Can't agree Sheaf was great for us.
He had great moments and decent spells but that's as far as it goes for me.

In fairness, these newer fans would have never experienced the intensity of the rivalries with Chester, Cardiff and Swansea. They don't get the geography and history of their newly adopted club. The fan culture in the USA is v different too and the closest thing their have to the intensity of rivalries in the UK is their college football teams.

Even then, their rivalries are more Liverpool v Everton (i.e. friendlier affairs) than Blackburn and Burnley (two towns that hate each other without knowing why).

I'm glad our fanbase hasn't been mobbed like that. For the most part, our 'growth' has been pulling in locals who used to support the likes of Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and so on. I see a lot of people on social media who are 'diehard' Cov fans who at school, were 'diehards' for Prem teams.

The smaller the town the more they hate each other.
I lived in a village where the next village hated my village and vice versa.

Before his injury problems, he was our most saleable asset, and was widely considered to be our best player in the wider football community, once Vic and Gus had left..

Watford did aim for the ball over the top, but I think they threatened most simply exploiting all that space in midfield. Kieffer Moore isn’t there for his pace let’s be honest, he’s there as a target man. Nullify him you nullify their threat.

Sure that was why I said his career has been plagued by injuries since, which is sad, and that is why I recognise a good servant to the club. If spent wisely, his fee will do us a massive favour.

Wrexham 0-3 Cov. And although I’m late to the earlier tangent, the animosity towards COH was and still is pathetic.

My old flatmate is a Burnley fan and spoke about the rivalry and he seems aware that rivalry is irrationally intense but still buys into it.

It sounds like a mental derby. Apparently they close the motorway/A road that connect the two to police escort away fans and it’s common to have 8-10ft fence between home and away fans at the games.

I’ll try and get a ticket next time it’s on, I’d like to experience it.

Best thing for me is even if we lose we are still top until the next round of fixtures. Think Wrexham will be better than they were against Cardiff and think we will miss MVE but we should have enough to beat the Hollywood boys.

Over his time with us he was generally very good. In that cup run season he was great, and looked like he could play at a higher level.

He should have been sold then, but hindsight's a wonderful thing. It would have been interesting to see what standard of club would have been interested.

We got a very good deal in the end, considering, and if he can regain anything close to the form from that season, then Wrexham will have got a very good player. Who knows whether he will or not. One thing I'd put money on is that he'll always be injury prone, though.

I'll always remember Sheaf as a player who passed to the opposition far too often.
Then Grimes arrives & shows how far off Sheaf really is...6.5million amazing fee...Wrexham didn't do their due diligence.

On paper they've just bought a bang average Championship side. I'm not suggesting for one second that going away to any middling Championship team isn't difficult but I think they are restricted by their manager.
Doyle started slow but should be their best defender - suspended.
Sheaf and O'Brien should be an effective midfield - Sheaf injured (of course) and O'Brien seems to have dropped down the pecking order for some reason.
They'll rely heavily on pumping it to Moore and seeing if Windass can knock one in from the edge of the box.
We should have too much all over the pitch really. We need to keep an eye on the wing backs though who from the bits I've seen do deliver well to Moore.

Love the phrase "We should have too much all over the pitch really." Just a polite way of saying we're going to give them a rogering they won't forget in a hurry.

That's very harsh, I think both O'hare and Hamer are doing an excellent job of keeping Sheffield United out of the promotion race.

If you are a fan of either club and happen to live in the rival town, then tough sh*t. Fans are only allowed to be bussed in with a ticket so you have to travel there to be bussed back home!

We’re odds on again to win an away match. I can’t see beyond a City win and any impartial football fan would think the same.
