Continuing the theme on stadiums..

Which is the worst you have been and state the reasons (atmosphere, design, etc)

Worst for atmosphere - Stadium MK, Arsenal, Ricoh, Doncaster, Wembley.

Worst for design
Leicester - the worst of the modern stadiums. At least the Ricoh and Derby have one stand which is 'different'.
Stoke - just absolute rubbish, a really terrible stadium, even the locals agree. Built on a hill with 3 corners not filled in means whenever you go it is windy and cold!

Worst away end
Gillingham - No words needed.
Yeovil - no roof = no atmosphere.

Most dated
Luton - I actually loved visiting the ground again on Saturday, but my God it is the stadium in the worst condition in this country.

The Dell, Southampton. Dreadful view from the old terrace behind the goal. No roof, so you couldn't generate a decent volume. View was better in later years when visitors were moved to one of the tiny side stands. When the home end was redeveloped it gave the suggestion it may well have been sponsored by Toblerone. Or HMSO (set square division)

The Dell without doubt the worst football ground ever. The worst modern stadium in my opinion is Ewood Park if you can call it modern as it looks like it's not sure what decade it belongs in. From the away end you can watch cows and sheep grazing in the fields, looked liked they were auditioning for Emmerdale !

I think Luton stands out. Carlisle isn't great, particularly for away fans! A non league ground which comes to mind is Rushall Olympic. There is a slope from side to side so that standing at the lower side you are eye level with the opposite touch line!

As I said on the other thread, San Siro (dilapidated), Whaddon Road (just a pure shithole) and the Diva (like Cheltenham it's a poor place for an away day).

Luton was the worst place in the UK I've been to - and the ground had no facilities in it. So I thinks that's the worst.

Portsmouth is also a shithole with naff all to do there

Taunton, Somerset.
What about Walsall - the 6-1 thrashing about ten years ago was enjoyable despite insufficient seats in a one sided warehouse with a tin roof?
Or Bristol City with wooden, uncomfortable backless chairs?
