Assuming the council try every trick in the book to delay a stadium move. How long could the council delay the build by?

By denying planning permission on the basis of a perfectly good stadium already present in the City, the council could permanently delay the build.

Not if it's not under Coventry's jurisdiction though.

What if it's Warwickshire or Rugby Council for instance?

Coventry council will not authorise a new stadium.

how much sway the CCC have with other local councils IE Rugby..... then all it takes is the discovery of a rare pigmy butterfly, local objections to the build..... we could all be in flying cars by the time it's actually built!

Trouble is, even IF a stadium was built 10 yards outside CCC's boundary, it still wouldn't be owned by the club. SISU/Opium/somenobintheclaymanisles would rent it to us, piling more debt on. IF somehow we were to get promoted to the champ then SISU would look at selling, but with the debts they reckon have been racked up in CCFC's name, plus the new ground, you'd probably be looking at a price tag of £100 million. Who would pay that for a half-pot club in a tin-pot stadium?
