I don't think so. As we see in women's football, the goalkeeping is really stand out in need of improvement and putting the ball anywhere under the bar usually results in a goal. Here Earps was slightly off her line as well. That doesn't take anything away from the shot, which was good, but if anything the deflection brings it closer to the keeper anyway. Either way - she wasn't saving it in my view.

The second England goal was a good move, but Australia will have more chances before the game is over.

What a terrific quality goal by any measure. Kerr should have had two more before that, though. We were lucky to get away with them with Oz in the ascendency.
