True Coventrians have one.... apparently!

Anyone heard of this saying or have my parents made it up?

I was born at Gulson Hospital and they say if you were born there you're a true Coventrian.But to be honest never heard that saying before. Houch was also born there so he may know ?

My old nan mentioned that saying once, I'm sure she said there was a song about it too. Can anyone confirm?

I have heard of it, now I'm depressed and feeling old. I bought a flat cap in the early 80's and many older person commented that it was a true Coventrian cap as it had a button on the top

Going back to the true Coventrian saying I only found out about the Gulson Hospital connection a year ago. I guess it's our version of London's Bow Bells ?
