don't know when they're on sale but think their away end only holds 700 plus so it's going to be a mad scramble for tickets.

Due to travel plans, this may be the first game I can get to - also never been to their (current) ground. Will have to join in the scramble!!

Already bought train tickets, will be my
First game of the season. Will take it on the chin if I don’t get a ticket, happy to sit in the home end for this one.

725 standing tickets & 94 seats according to the football ground guide.

Really shit view from memory when we last played there mid week and not the easiest to get too either.

Can't remember exactly how much mine were but they were very cheap from the nationalrail website. Not much over 20 quid for me and my son, (under 16).

That's really good to be fair. Oxford is more expensive than that.

that's to Euston, got to sort out the train to Wimbledon from there.
The earlier you book on the nationalrail site the cheaper it tends to be.

I bought a few weeks ago mate and £15 without a railcard.

This might be useful for you or some others to save money on train travel through the season but two weeks ago I found out that I could purchase an NUS card, even though I’m no longer a student and haven’t been for 5 years. When it asks you for institution, simply choose e-careers and it doesn’t ask for any proof or verification. It costs £10

Once you’ve got an NUS card, take it to your nearest station and ask for a 16-25 railcard. Then show them your NUS card and say you’re a full time student. They can issue them, 1 year 16-25 railcards, to anyone who is a full time student, regardless of age and only cost £30 which you soon earn back. And there you go, you’ve got a 1 year young person student card to save 33% on train travel before the season.

I hadn’t worked out any of this before I bought Wimbledon tickets - which is why it cost me £15 and not £10!

Hope this helps someone else on saving money on travel

Theyre good as well and worth it. I did about 9/10 Away games on the train and reckon the railcard saved me well over £200. Come the start of the season they’re one of the first things I look to buy. I’m a sucker for a saving and trying to get the travel as cheap as possible but it all adds up over the course of a season!

[CHARGE=][/CHARGE]If you want a friends and family railcard you can get one for £24 instead of £30 before 11.59pm on 21 July giving 1/3 off adult fares and 60% off most child fares when travelling together.
It is from the MSE website here's the link.
Can't get the link to work, so it's :-
Moneysavingexpert.com, then go to 'Deals & vouchers', then 'Railcard deals', hopefully that should be it.
If anyone else can work out how to post the link, please do. I really need a 5 year old child to do it for me!!

I know it's not our clubs fault, but is anyone else finding it a tad weird we're 2 weeks and 2 days away from our first away game of the season and there's been no information about tickets going on sale? People will want to wake plans for a weekend and know if they have got tickets yet as there is likely to be a bit of a scramble.

Yeah, for sure, I tried to suggest I wasn't blaming our club but failed. I wonder what's going on at AFC's end. No doubt if we had done this to an away section and our fans had got hold of it they'd be a fairly substantial 'SISU CANT EVEN GIVE AWAY FANS THEIR TICKETS', 'THE COUNCIL ARE TO BLAME FOR TICKET GATE' thread.

Also, if not released by Friday then we lose the cheap advance train ticket prices too. As we'll only get just over 700 tickets i've not booked train yet incase i dont get a match ticket.

Good luck with that as they pretty much sold out every game last season as capacity is only 4850. This is also their first home game of the season and their website already says limited tickets available.
