Sheff.Utd are probably watching quite a few. Carsley clearly has seen his former charge make an impressive start but that would not be enough to make a bid based on a few games in the first team. If I were Sheff.Utd I would not bring a rookie in and pin my hopes he will somehow keep up the scoring form he set himself during the first few games!
This is more 'empty' journalism from the telegraph on a slow news week. The transfer window closes Monday so the press as much as anyone else will start speculating alarmingly to sell newspapers. I can see it now..."Carsley was watching us the other night...must be our new kid striker they are after!" Come on Carsley took in a game to watch his former charge do well and he's pleased as punch for the lad no doubt. That does not need to turn into a report they are about to bid on him! If Sheff.Utd wanted and needed a striker the likely target undoubtedly would be Leon Clarke - one of the best proven strikers in league 1. Now that would worry me...

He was loaned to Liverpool because they wanted to see if he had the poential that is hype was stating, Connor then got injured and returned to us the end of that season. It's obvious that Liverpool had done there homework before then, a club that size would be stupid not too!

This was when Dalglish was spunking huge amounts of money all over the place for rubbish!

Agreed. However if he had offered to take Connor off our hands for £25,000,000 I'd of packed Connor's bags myself!

In this instance Pax, I think you are 100% correct. In reality I think that we all know that when any of our squad have a sparkling run the 'Championship Clubs interested in XX or YY headlines will appear in the CT. With or without fact or evidence.

Although Sheffield Utd's more of a stable football club compared to our shaky clown college, there is a lot to be said for Wilson staying put given the choice. Having finally made his breakthrough in familiar surroundings he's enjoying fine form and is all but guaranteed first team football which may not be the case elsewhere, none of which can harm his chances of moving onward and upward later.

I thought it was Baker who was off to the Blades as he was supposed to be training there ?
Hope the Wilson story is gossip and the Baker one too.
But once a selling club always a selling club ?
