Wilson Money to be Reinvested (1 Viewer)

Who knew a year ago that Wilson would be worth three million?

When was the last City youth player to bring in more than £2m?

Every gambler thinks they'll win straight after a win, it's the long term that fucks them over.

You'd have to go back to Kirkland FFS. Great, we'll break even once every decade!

Also: I take it as the two asking for my working have gone quiet (and OSB has confirmed I was being very pessimistic) I'll assume you agree with the figures?

Yep, you're right, Kirkland. But if I'd started a thread a year ago saying "Wilson will get a big money move after his first season", no doubt you would have still quoted Kirkland as an example. Or Callum D.

Chances are it won't happen, but we don't know, do we? That's the way our club has always survived, selling our best players.

In regards to the Clarke money we never spent people are very quick to forget the bid we had rejected for Alex Revell from Rotherham on January deadline day. We didn't even sell Clarke until the 30th.

Mcsheffrey, Kirkland was a few years earlier.

Lol !!
So why has the Arvo debt escalated out of control if everthing is rosey at sixfields ???
The wage bill was out of control when were at the ricoh. Paying three managers at one point.
You won't answer this one, but here goes.
How will CCFC pay the Arvo 1.8 million interest each year playing at sixfields ?
Also have you worked out the amount of turnover required to generate this 1.8 million ?

Wasn't the debt out of control before the Sixfields move?

We haven't controlled debt for a decade. When turnover was tenfold the amount at Sixfields we couldn't pay for Leon best. Why are you fixated by one specific debt?

Perhaps he thinks it is very relevant to our current situation, rather than harping back to the past. A years worth of missing SISU accounts surely breeds suspicion also.

Yes, it just goes to show that SISU didn't have a sustainable plan.

Every gambler thinks they'll win straight after a win, it's the long term that fucks them over.

Yes, they get fucked over by regression to the norms... bookies, now they understand statistical trends & also the psychology of the gambler (which they exploit by heavily advertising their occasional bad day & keeping quiet about the usual days where they make a steady profit).

Tell you what. I'm helping my wife write a business plan at the minute. Under financial forecasts I'll get her to put "you never know". Well see how the bank feels about that ;)

Fair point. Though in my defence McSheffrey made his debut (just) before Kirkland (are you buying this?)

Yeah, now I know where you're coming from. Straight out the youth, a season or so, sold.
