I'm sure he's been unhappy for a while here. Don't worry Jordan, the nice people of Rotherham won't call you shit when you keep making idiotic mistakes and lack basic understanding of defensive positioning.

To be fair he can be a decent player in some games but everyone who's had a part in our defensive shambles this season needs to be moved on.

Does anyone think further departures will lead to more unrest? If we lose Stevenson tomorrow I really can see a lot of fans losing total control at the next couple of games. We're in free fall and the worry of relegation has turned into acceptance and rage.

But Stevenson going has been on the cards now for some weeks.

Why would fans lose control when we expected it anyway?

I maintain we wait and see what happens tomorrow. Maybe Slade will have some good news for us all.

If tomorrow he was to say 'We lost Willis and Stevenson, but Chris Stokes is now back fit and I have brought in a midfielder and two strikers,' would we then be complaining?

As City fans we have a tendency to react to one piece of news when it might not be the full picture.

Problem is Otis that more often than not the full picture tends to be worse than the part of the picture we're reacting to.

Yes, I agree. Would rather wait though until the assumed becomes fact.

Better run club more like. But he could have gone just about anywhere and there would be no debate needed that he would have gone to a better run club.

Seems to me that most people don't believe Willis to be that good a player and someone who is rather average anyway.

So why are we all upset he is going?

We might all just be surprised at who is coming in tomorrow.

If no-one comes in at all of course and others are to go too, THEN is the time to start wailing and gnashing teeth.

He may not be a great player. But who do wehave that is better or that puts more effort in?

I am hoping the plan is to get as much money in as possible by selling Willis, Haynes and Stevenson and perhaps a kick back from Callum Wilson should Bournemouth sell him to give sisu enough money to satisfy their investors and then F off.

Well yeah. If it is a mass fire sale and them buggering off we would accept that wouldn't we?

We look doomed anyway. Sell Stevenson, Harries, Haynes, Willis, get some Wilson money, bugger off into the night.

I'm not bothered about Willis going as a player it's more the symbolism of the move.
Anything with a price gets sold and we continue the constant churn of players. He will no doubt be replaced by a succession of loans.

Yeah.

I would be much more irked if he was a very good player. I just see him as distinctly average and very much part of a terribly leaky defence.

It IS a tricky one of course because we are looking likely that we won't be in this division next season. Do we go for League One players who might save us or are we already looking for players for a camp in League Two?

It's outrageous!

Where else are we going to find a 5 goal a season striker? They are like gold dust and not at all ten a penny.

He's already been replaced, hence he wasn't playing centre half anyway.

Next will be Stevenson, since the boy is playing like he's got one foot outta the door anyway, and possibly Haynes (considering the possible bids for him).

Unbelievable. The psychological effect on the remaining players will be profound; a weakened team through sales, bare bone and absolute shit squad, players remaining have no drive or desire to play for the shirt whatsoever.

Great stuff, innit?

Sell Sell Sell - I wonder do these transfers include a clause for a % of any future transfers, suspect not, to maximise the transfer fee that will be undisclosed.
Stiffing the sisu exit here, but we will be left with few players, no training ground, academy losing its status and no home and no money in the bank. If we lose against Wycombe could be soon, otherwise after the final.

Psychological effect? Thing is, we have looked demotivated and not up for it anyway. I can't see how it could get any worse.

We are now at the point where we have to sell our average players.

I have heard if you buy a season ticket next year you get a seat number and a squad number.
