Rooney gets stick but he was scoring world class goals for Everton in the prem at 16. If he had been anything but English he would have been loved by all. We have a self hating culture in many ways and it's sad to see.Whenever we talk about a player like this not likely to get a look in at league 1 level due to age / experience it makes you realise how special players like Rooney must’ve been to have been regular starters in the premier league at 16

If this lad is good enough he is old enough and should be given a long teem deal before the vultures swoop as we're now upwardly mobile and need to hang onto our best prospects.
