Looks like he is from the youth team and travelled to Spain.

Does anybody know much about him?

Mr Panda said something about him not expecting him to be around for long (i.e. expecting the Big Boys to be sniffing around? unless I misinterpreted it) Said he had played for U23s last season.

Nothing specific. Just the usual situation of bigger fish sniffing around and watching lower league talent.

Very highly rated in the game
He's signed with the same agency as Bayliss and Josh Pask
They are normally very good with young players and seem to like Cov

Are we taking him on pre-season as a reaction to 'big fish' sniffing around, or does he genuinely deserve a spot?

I'd imagine we are ideal for an agency that focuses on young players:

1. We play them
2. Now have a reputation for producing the goods from the academy and so on the RADAR for the big clubs.
3. We sell them when a decent offer comes in if they want to go.

The players we have sold for serious profit are Wilson, Maddison, and presumably Bayliss. Add in Bigi to Newc or even Stevenson...do we not generate defenders for future sale?

There is Willis
Although there were offers they were never big enough and now he's left for free but is likely to play at a higher level
Also Ciann Harris was sold to Swansea but no break through yet

Ben Turner / Cyrus Christie. Christie was settled by tribunal but still plays at a higher level

Going back further: Davenport as well.

We do seem to go through phases with the type of player the academy produces and are in a more attacking phase now.

The Academy is very successful, considering how many players drop out of the game altogether after youth football, there are a large number of ex academy products making a living playing league football.

I believe he's mainly a striker, but can play all across a front three.

If he's good enough he's old enough. One to keep an eye on. Would think he's been taken to Spain because he has the potential to break into the team (maybe not immediately) and Robins wants to see how he does.

Whenever we talk about a player like this not likely to get a look in at league 1 level due to age / experience it makes you realise how special players like Rooney must’ve been to have been regular starters in the premier league at 16

Rooney gets stick but he was scoring world class goals for Everton in the prem at 16. If he had been anything but English he would have been loved by all. We have a self hating culture in many ways and it's sad to see.

If this lad is good enough he is old enough and should be given a long teem deal before the vultures swoop as we're now upwardly mobile and need to hang onto our best prospects.

Lad travels to Spain for pre season, two blokes (or girls) on a forum say he’s decent and people demand he should be given a long term deal ffs

What are you on about? I think you might’ve misread my post. I didn’t say he was decent I’ve never seen him play or had even heard of him before this post.

On a much more important note, how do you pronounce Bapaga? Emphasis on the B or the p ?
