Will we be able to hang on to Baker? (1 Viewer)

Hasn't he scored 14 goals for us this season? Making him Captain has been a master-stroke.

But, I fear that sooner or later, someone will make an offer. And we have outstanding rent and stuff to pay. :(

I'd forget about keeping anyone to be honest. Whatever happens, happens.

Oh yeah, I'm sure FFP will rip this squad apart I fear. But we need a old experienced head or two to lead our young guns for next season if (which looks likely) we are still in this league next season.

He, Clarke, Murphy and Cyrus are the main four we need try our hardest to hang on to.

Not sure about Cyrus but agree Murphy, Clarke, & Baker are three we need to keep. I would like Wood tbh I know he is on a high wage but I just think we look more secure with him back there than when he is not. He seems to bring out the best in his partner as well.

These posts are all so depressing and they don't need to be.....this is an opportunity for our young blood to come in and make a breakthrough...they wouldn't be getting the chance at the moment otherwise....personally I'm feeling pretty hopeful. Wilson for instance coming in with the adrenalin of the play-offs in sight! Anfd I'm glad Leon is getting that op now and not when it's too late! PUSB...you can do it!!!

I wouldn't mind if we sold, it would be a blow, he's contributed a lot this season but he can be very hit and miss still, more hit though in L1.

we are under an embargo an administrator will come in and cancel contracts to get the wage bill down thus rendering any value in the players worthless.

In the first half he put 3 or 4 really good crosses in.. ...sure not everyone of his crosses is in the "corridor of uncertainty"..but think your criticism is a tad harsh?

Not really, his crossing in general is pretty poor, and the biggest weakness in his game. To be fair Adams is also poor at crossing.

There isn't one player in the squad that I would be devastated that we lost to be honest....

Until we get a new owner, no one is safe, UNTIL, the transfer embargo is lifted. We can sell players until it is lifted and i cant see it bein lifted while we're in admin

I spoke to him today and he said that he received a number of shitty messages from cov fans after the game last night, one of which saying he was an awful captain and he should give it to David bell. Hardly going to make him want to stay. I did say that he'll get morons at any club. All I will say is that he really cares about Coventry City.

I swear just before halftime with all the groaning and moaning from the crowd ,that as Mcsheff recieved the ball wide left on the halfway line, he deliberately played a 3 yard pass backwards just to piss the crowd off a little more.:(
